This is a complete download of the Far West Minutemen mod. BlasterMasterCaster Fixed some .nif files and crash issues. I removed AWKCR and CROSS Cybernetics.

Far West Minutemen - Full Download

  • Fixed meshes and CTD
  • BA2'd
  • No AWKCR
  • No Cybernetics (a bit too much steampunk for me)

BlasterMasterCaster made a post on the FWM mod page about visual corrections and CTD fixes he implemented.  He also compressed FWM into BA2 files.  I downloaded his fix and used it with my No-AWKCR and No CROSS Cybernetics Far West Minutemen.  A few months passed and we chatted a bit about publishing the full mod if we could get permission.  We got it.

This page now focuses primarily on Complex Item Sorter installations. My mods have updated to the new installation features of Complex Item Sorter 1.9 and will no longer require manually installing any .ini files.  Also, the INNR files can also now be manipulated and rearranged with a one line command in an ini file.  Always read installation instructions as some mods do still use an INNR.esp file.

Pre-Installation

** Install or Upgrade Complex Item Sorter to the latest version.

** Verify you have a proper Complex Item Sorter installation per
Steps 1-5 of this ArticleStep 5 is critical for this mod to work.

Installation of only Far West Minutemen

1.  West Tek Tactical Optics
2.  Crimsomrider's Accessories
3.  No AWKCR and AE for Crimsomrider's Accessories
4.  Download and install my Main File (it's the whole FWM mod):  4estGimp - Far West Minutemen_NoAWKCR_NoCyber

(optional)  Addition of We Are the Minutemen
If you want both Far West Minutemen and We Are the Minutemen, install:

1.  West Tek Tactical Optics
2.  Crimsomrider's Accessories
3.  No AWKCR and AE for Crimsomrider's Accessories
4.  We Are the Minutemen ** Install BEFORE Far West Minutemen.  Load .esp BEFORE FWM .esp too.
5.  Install the Complex Sorter tagging .in file: 4estGimp - W.A.T.M_ComplexSorter_ini
6.  Download and install my Main File (it's the whole FWM mod):  4estGimp - Far West Minutemen_NoAWKCR_NoCyber

(really optional) Addition of Militarized Minutemen
If you want all 3 - Far West Minutemen, We Are the Minutemen, and Militarized Minutemen,  next install:

NOTE:  Choosing 2 instead of 3 Minutemen factions might make more visual sense than trying to make all 3 work together.
  - We Are the Minutemen + Far West Minutemen work great together using We Are the Far West Minutemen.
  - We Are the Minutemen + Militarized Minutemen work great together just using the MM installer option.
  - All 3 can co-exist using 4estGimp - WATFWMMM.esp but faction balance can be awkward and opinions vary as to what is balanced.

NOTE:  If you want to use CROSS Pre-War Cybernetics, just use the replacer at No AWKCR and AE for Mods File Dump.  It's about 1/3 of the way down the page and named, "Far West Minutemen Normal (2.1) - No AWKCR".


Here are the full details of BlasterMasterCaster's fixes in his own words:


I decided to tackle 2 issues with the current version of this mod and I fixed the first person visual obstruction during crouch for costumes that had that problem and I fixed the CTD when you target someone wearing the Specialist backpack.

1) I corrected the visual obstruction for the following costumes following vvsg1's instructions from here in the comments section:

Minuteman Marshall Outfit
Minutemen Reeve Outfit
Minuteman Conqueror Outfit
Minuteman Conqueror Outfit with Prosthetics
Minuteman Deathclaw Hunter
Minuteman Extremist Plates Outfit

2) I also fixed the bug when targeting the Specialist backpack during VATS
that would CTD your game, following Jeggred13's instructions from the
Bugs section.

3) I packed everything into .ba2 archives.

4) There is a bug that I don't know how to fix: Preston Garvey spawning
with his original costume and not having his new costume in his
inventory. Seems like the only work around is to respawn him with
console andsend him back to Concord where he shows up naked but with his
new costume in inventory.

I haven't experienced the rest of the bugs in the bugs section but I haven't used this mod extensively yet so
they may appear in the future.
