Is there a nickname for the "root" file? I cannot find the file any where in the instruction you gave me. It may be because i'm new to the programing thing and i'm not good at it, but i just wanna make sure...
I haven't come back to Fallout 4 in a while and i don't think it's easy to find the Old reshade programm ( 1.1 i think it was , should still work with newer versions ). Anyway by root folder i mean where the game is installed C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Fallout4 that's the default one for most systems. It's where your .exe's are.
You can try download 1.1.0 from here http://www.mediafire.com/file/bp1upxv2ya8909q/ReShade+1.1.0f1.7z
Really good looking preset. Is there a way to reduce or disable the lights that shine through walls? Maybe you have seen the effect by yourself. When you plant a wall light and go behind the wall it seems as if the wall lets the light shine through. Can that be disabled?
Yeah i know what you are talking about. Unfortunately it's an engine bug. Tried puting a wall light in the Castle ( next to the General's room, with and without my preset ) and a bit of light shined through and behind the wall as if there were cracks. Until CK is released i don't think its possible to fix it. Thanks for your feedback !
Excellent preset, thanks for the work! I get no measurable fps loss, but the game looks much deeper and clearer, without being too much or distracting. Exactly what I was looking for.
If your instructions were a little more specific it would be nice for new comers. Arent you supposed to rename ReShade64.dll To dxgi.dll? there are also other files in the reshade 1.1.0 that are not even needed so you should state exactly which files to extract from the reshade framework. Do this and im sure you will get more downloads/endorsements because people will understand how to install. Also thanks for the great preset. Endorsed
I think you only have to rename ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll if you are on windows 8.1/10 or if you are crashing with Reshade on. I could be wrong though as i only use windows 7 and am having no problems. I changed the description a bit to make it more clear. Thanks for your feedback !
Finally reshade preset that i have been looking for. I just wanted slightly more crispier textures and better lighting without losing original look/feel of the game. And this preset does exactly that... Thank you.
