I have debated bringing this into Power Armor to the People as a configuration that is disabled by default, I just haven’t because it would require a decent amount of rework to function without Institute Power Armor. That would free it from AWKCR without needing a lot of extra patches here, though. I will give it some thought. Do you use MCM?
I use MCM. What I thought is that I'd love them together with institute Power Armor (by m150) but the idea that it could be a standalone option in PATTP is also nice.
Though I do understand that making this option available might be difficult and require a lot of work for you.
You could use Power Armor to the People to give them Institute Power Armor instead. That doesn't require AWKCR, and it's more lore-friendly in my opinion. You just need to follow the instructions for the Power Armored Enemies feature (it requires one other mod which will add more power armor for raiders and gunners) and check that and the Institute Power Armor boxes in the installer.
If you have AWKCR and the power armor isn't getting painted, it's almost certainly because you have another mod that changes X-01 in some way and doesn't have the keyword from AWKCR to allow the painted X-01 to spawn. This mod doesn't touch that piece at all. You probably need an AWKCR patch for some other mod you are using.
Could you help me with a problem I am having with this mod: X-01 for Synths (Power Armor to the People with Institute Power Armor)? I keep missing a masters for it, "Institute power armor-power armor enemies.esp" and have no idea what mod is supposed to provide this. I thought it was SWEXAVIER05'S Power armored enemies but that did not provide me with the masters I needed.
Is there any way to have X-01 and I-01 in use? Like I-01 for lower-level synths and industrious applications and X-01 for higher level and combat applications?
Well, there's no separation between combat applications and industrious applications, but if you use Power Armor to the People and choose both Power Armored Enemies and Institute Power Armor, you can use the corresponding version of this mod to give them both. I-01 shows up at level 29, and X-01 shows up at level 39.
