Erm...Simple Bug Fixes already does this, I'm pretty sure, while also fixing a bunch of other bugs...
Still, if you figured this out on your own, you should contact the Simple Bug Fixes team, or the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch team, and ask if you can work with them. I'm sure they'd appreciate the help!
I fixed the synth armor for my own game a few days ago, and decided to upload this when I saw someone else complaining about the problem. I might as well leave it up, for anyone who wants this fix but not the others.
