The mod Simple Impact using F4SE removes the need for patches to disable aim recovery, If you only want aim recovery disabled just keep the setting DisableAimRecovery=1 as is and disable everything else in its SimpleImpact.ini config file which is located in the Data\F4SE\Plugins folder, to be clear if you use Simple Impact if you have my mod already you can remove my mod if you don't have my mod you do not need it if you use simple impact
For those unaware this is a link to a google document attempting to keep track of hidden or deleted mods on nexus and it attempts to track alternative download locations for those mods if they exist Fallout 4 Hidden and Deleted Nexus Mods
Added new images to hopefully help anyone trying to create there own patches (images are in order, go left to right), the images show how i create the patches them selves not how i add them into a fomod, and how to add to an archive using 7zip and install them in vortex, while making a video might be clearer im currently not interested in making one.
It could cause problems because removing mods with esp's, esl's etc... usually isn't a good idea mid playthrough from what i understand, if your already mid save and you don't want to start a new game just know it could cause problems with the save, also if you use a weapon and it seems like the patch for it isn't working modify it at a workbench and that should get it to start working
That's not exactly accurate. It's a bad idea to remove mods which are permanently baked into saves. 1. Mods which add scripts (unless they have an uninstall option - and even then it's not always safe). 2. Mods which add objects or actors to the world. 3. Mods which modify the world terrain.
Mods which only modify gun stats have no presence in save files, and are therefore safe to install/uninstall mid-game.
I have a habit of tailoring stats and leveled lists to my liking during gameplay, so I have a lot of experience with this.
Hello. Question for the mod author. I'm installing this mod because the SREP rifle has recoil mitigation, so I installed this mod. The problem is, I only installed the mod for the SREP Rifle, and this mod affects vanilla weapons. This is a problem because another mod (That I have installed) named "Immersive Fallout" already removes vanilla weapon recoil recovery. In the OMOD, I have an option to select the Vanilla-DLC Aim Model Patch. Do I have to select it, or can I just select the patches for the modded weapons?
Nonetheless, thank you for the mod, have a great day.
EDIT: Just installed solely the SREP Patch, seems to work just fine. Please disregard the above. Have a nice day.
yes that's basically it, with aim recovery turned off you have to manage the recoil entirely by yourself, by default in the game the guns will recover somewhat on there own, aim recovery turned off is far more realistic
It pretty much means you will keep holding it to the sky for eternity until you manually bring it down. Both eliminating all auto recovery and having near instant auto recovery are no more immersive than the other. Faster firing weapons, the former starts to make more sense. Slower firing weapons, the latter makes perfect sense - you don't resist the effect of gravity to bring the muzzle back to where it started.

if it possible to for me to fix it on my own using fo4edit i would appreciate getting info on how to do it.
If not, thank you for the mod anyways, and have a great day.
