I was initially skeptical about making it craftable, wanting to encourage some scavenging before the payer should be able to build the more advanced items of metal. I hope that the somewhat high perk requirements should make this item balanced enough without being too annoying to craft.
At least looking the description, this mod looks like a good addition to the crafting system, with actually balanced (or even hardcore) requirements! (As a survival player, I really enjoy that feature). Really loving your mods lately. Btw, for people that dislike that they are crafting at the chemistry station I recommend "Chemistry Station Renamed Crafting Workbench" and/or "Simple Immersive Chem Benches for Crafting"
I tried making the requirements in FallMisc similar to the requirements for crafting and modifying items from DLCs. In fact, it's actually the vanilla game that has strangely few and low requirements for crafting. I did not want to make a lot of edits to the vanilla system, but if I had, it would make a lot of sense to see more craftable items locked behind perks. Almost all forms of chems should at least have been locked behind Chemist rank 1, and for the more powerful items, even higher requirements would make sense.
I've noticed that too about the vanilla game. I just subconsciously avoid crafting some of the overly powerful items, or use rebalances If you did release something that overwrites most vanilla recipes, you could always have it as a separate file, and just not worry about patch requests if you get any
That's an interesting idea indeed. However, due to the fact that most of the changes would be made to chems and other vanilla items, it seems reasonable that such a file would be a part of Falltoxin rather than this mod.

Been having headaches trying to find a blowtorch to build a water pump.
