About this mod

A Vanilla Settlement Blueprint for the Red Rocket Truck Stop to last for your whole playthrough.

Changelogs
This is a low requirement blueprint that was made for folks who want to have very little interaction with the settlement system but still have a nice home to return to. The settlement was designed completely with vanilla objects. Many settlements lean into the junk aesthetic of Fallout 4, but the settlers of this blueprint have rediscovered brooms will provide a relatively clean looking commune for you and your companions to live in.

Because the settlement was made for folks that don't want to interact with the settlement system that much during their playthrough, there are some advantages for players that decide to use this during the early game like decent turret defenses, max level vendors and an automaton workshop. For those that want to put a little more into their settlements, there is room for more decoration and customization in the space that I have provided.

Requirements

Transfer Settlements - Hard Requirement
Homemaker - Soft Requirement, adds one item (1-11-21: Removed Dependency)
All DLC

Recommended

Place Everywhere - Can Assist with moving some foliage but not necessary.

Directions

(I will update this with a video once I get it put together but for now, a written description will have to suffice)

This settlement blueprint will take up slot 17.

Before importing the settlement, delete all objects using the settlement nuking feature. Next, delete all remaining objects in the settlement except:
  • the computer terminal (back room of truck stop)
  • desk (back room of truck stop)
  • radiator (back room of truck stop)
  • all foliage
  • cars (if you would like to keep them. Move them to the open area of the driveway by the entrance to keep them out of the way for import. In my build, I kept one. They will phase through buildings if you do not remove them. They blow up and this is a small settlement so I'd recommend deleting most of them.)

When Importing the Settlement, Make sure you select "Import Original Items (not built by the player)"

After import, some clutter items will not be in their proper positions as their furniture pieces will spawn after they do. This includes crates, fans, and a typewriter in the office. Pick them up using the grab key or place the objects in their proper positions using workshop mode. Foliage can also be deleted or moved at your own discretion after the import is complete.

Inspiration

Two of the building's style took inspiration from Red Rocket Arcade by Holly.
The Garage is inspired by the title screen of Fallout 4. I'd recommend adding some more clutter items to make it feel more lived in.

Notes

  • I forgot to add a settlement recruitment beacon so you will have to add one of those yourself. The build was originally intended to be a follower's only settlement but the scope expanded. If I update the blueprint on the nexus, then I will provide this in an update. Fixed
  • There is a street light in front of the green house that doesn't have it's wire connected. Again, I will fix it if I release an update.  Fixed
  • On top of the main hall are some out house toilets that I initially put there for decorative purposes. They can be accessed from the balcony. Use them to take some nice glamour shots! (Example in the images section)
  • I recommend using place everywhere to move trees. For example, in the home behind the Nuka Cola sign near Concord, there is a tree phasing through the roof. I'd recommend moving it so it is sticking through the hole in the roof or deleting it entirely.

I've got one more settlement in the pipeline. My next blueprint is for sanctuary. Until then, enjoy the settlement and upload some of your screenshots!
