My problem with Deirdre is that she doesn't move unless there is an attack. She just stands in the same spot forever. Is this just a me problem, or has anyone else had it?
Quick question - would it have been possible to just remove the prerequisite for trading, so she could trade before AND after getting the settlement? I know I've had at least one game where it took forever for me to get the quest to get The Slog.
Does anyone know if the UFO4P fixes the other issues with Deirdre? Like her inventory or her being unprotected? And I just realized that if you remove the first 'ei' in her name, she'd be Dr Dre.
I'm not sure what you mean by "does anyone know if the UFO4Patch fixes the -other- issues" There... are no other issues than her broken trading and being unprotected. o_O That's the entire focus of this mod.
And yeah, I could just remove the check entirely and she should trade before and after claiming The Slog. I'll upload that as an optional file.

First time I played and went to the slog, I saw her and was like... "Why am I a GHOUL!!!" And I've heard the Dr. Dre thing a lot. In fact, had a friend that always called me that. I still love my name though, but damn, couldn't Beth have made her someone a little more.. umm with skin maybe? LOL
I forgot to set Deirdre to essential in my current playthrough, shes dead, and I dont have a previous save. Will this mod do anything to restore her to functionality, and raise the Slog pop. count? I would be surprised if so, but just asking.
The unofficial patch may have resolved the selling issue to some degree. But it did not resolve the issue with her being "protected". I always use the unofficial patch and alas my Deirdra is scattered all over the old driving range next door to the Slog. Now I use Holly as my vendor for the Slog.
Be aware, if you have any other mods which alter Deirdre herself placed beneath this mod - she'll still die. If you want her to be protected like all the other settlers, you have to put this mod beneath any other mod that alters Deirdre. This includes makeovers of her specifically, or something like NPC Level Scaling. Or y'know. Just go into FO4Edit and give her the flag yourself. Alternatively you can just use console commands on the spot when you meet her in game. Gotta do it on each new game, tho.
