A space-age pistol developed in-house by the terrorist organization known only as H.A.R.M, these pistols were specifically designed for use on their ill-fated space station, but occasionally found their way to operatives on the ground. After the Great War, H.A.R.M's fate is unknown, but more than likely the organization met its end as many things did that fateful day. But, while the organization itself may be gone, some things managed to survive.
This mod adds the H.A.R.M Laser Pistol, a unique little laser weapon that hails from the game No One Lives Forever, a now 20 year old title that was one of the games I grew up with, and that I had recently returned to, inspiring me to create this mod.
The pistol comes with a few mods, namely:
4 barrel lengths
4 receiver options
7 scope options (including iron sights)
3 grip options
8 "gyroscopic collimator" options, 4 in red and 4 in blue.
The pistol does a base 30 in Energy damage, of course increased by perks and modifications applied. The Gyroscopic Collimator options offer a slight increase in damage, while the receiver options provide the most significant boost. A single pistol can be found in the Wicked Shipping yards, but after you get it you can make more at a chem station under Utility.
Now, there is one very special feature about the pistol, and that is it recharges! Yes, you read that right, Billy! The pistol comes with 10 shots by default, and has to recharge when you first obtain it. It recharges a shot every 2 seconds, and only recharges when the gun's unholstered, so you can't just spray and pray with it because you'll quickly find yourself up a particularly brown creek without a paddle. However, you can not only improve the recharge rate, but also the battery's capacity, via the Gyroscopic Collimator modules, which as mentioned before also provide an extra little boost in damage. The laser pistol is also level-listed, albeit lightly, only appearing on Synths, Gunners and Legendary enemies. There is also a unique pistol that can be found in the Skylanes wreckage within the Glowing Sea.

INSTALLATION

Download the mod manually or via Vortex/NMM. For the former, extract the files to your Data folder and enable through a mod manager or the in-game mods menu. For Vortex, download the mod through it and activate it after the download finishes. Make sure to deploy the mod after enabling it, and that everything's been installed to the proper location.

Disable the mod either through a mod manager or the in-game mods menu. If desired, delete the .esp and BA2 files from your Data folder.

There's no inventory or workbench visual for the Gyroscopic Collimators. This, unfortunately, was a sacrifice I had to make in order to get them to spin when the PC or an NPC is wielding them. Due to some weird esoteric nonsense with gun behaviors or the Alien Blaster animations (which the pistol utilizes), wielding the gun suspends any and all animation controllers in the nif file, resulting in the controlled component not animating, except when dropped on the ground (and perhaps on display racks). I actually had to make the collimators a magic hit effect in order to get around this issue.
