Possible Script Lag If none of the above apply then just be patient and wait in your settlement doing nothing (don't use pipboy or workshop menu) for 10-15 minutes for scripts to finish processing. Staring at ground will also help. Seriously. If you're running on lower end hardware (especially CPU) OR have a lot of script/quest heavy mods such as other big quest mods, some companion mods, major game overhaul mods then you may end up with a lot of script lag. You can either reduce your mod load and start a new save game or just plan on spending more time in your settlements. Don't "bounce dive" and spend less than 5 minutes in a settlement.
Console Commands to skip quest stages NO. Don't do it unless it comes directly from Kinggath or a support team member like myself. In the majority of cases you will break the mod using console commands to skip quests or quest stages because this mod was not designed for that. You can skip ALL the quests with an option in the holotape under Tools > Cheats.
This is my first time playing of the SS. I have ss2 Chapter 2 installed. Everything has been fine. I am following the ss questline and have just gotten to Boston Police. Since I was in the area I thought I would do taking independence and old guns. Everything to this point has been fine. But I cannot finish old guns. I get the schematic, parts and smoke grenades. But them a message shows up saying some plans are blocked by SS2 and the schematics and stuff are gone.
I read somewhere that you should not start City plans until you complete old guns. But I just followed the quest, so what do they mean do not start a city plan. I just place plots. I have a desk, but only to donate materials. Sorry, but can someone explain or help with this.
saves get corrupted after the mod is activated on that save but not ones where the mod wasn't installed before (i just realized i wasn't on the latest version. nevermind updating it didn't work)
A quick question, how well would this mod do alongside the Vivid Fallout - All in One mod, would it work well or would it cause some texture issues. thank you.
Does anyone else have snapping issues? When I try to build plots they just try to snap inside of existing plots. I cant snap plots side by side.
Edit: Honestly getting really frustrated with the actual settlement aspect. I set up starlight with a mayor, they have all the resources they need, and yet somehow when they had nothing but sleeping bags and borrowed supplies from other settlements, they were happier than with a fully functioning "sim settlement." Ever since installing a mayor and letting the place automate itself, it's only gotten worse.
The questline is amazing, and it's truly better than basically the entire FO4 main questline and I'm not even done. The story is better written, the voice acting is more passionate than the "professionals" who did the VO for vanilla. I just think with the actual settlement work, there's either something I'm missing that isn't in the tutorial missions, or it isn't working properly. Again, snapping is just completely broken. I use the Storywealth modpack along with a few cosmetic mods. Nothing that should interfere with SS2.
I just had a question. I only just got SS2 after using SS1 for awhile and i noticed i am not able to build plots anymore so I wanted to ask if I am still able to build plots and if so what am I missing?
