For anyone who wants an esp, disable the redderrocket.esl and use this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AaCxkkaT9ES4ywMA90OVVXDwJ-FWeD55/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, I appreciate it I do love getting kudos, for anybody else that sees this, I didn't know it at the time when I linked this, but any blank plugin like this that is used to only load a ba2 archive can just be renamed from esl to esp
Nice work as always, just a bit headache for those extra material files cause I'm building my own Textures 1-9.ba2 replacer and don't know if there would be any visual problem if I abandon these material files.
If you plan on building this use Optimizaion guides collection 2 to lead the way, you don't have to follow the whole guide but there's a section in there on how to merge textures/materials/meshes/etc. If you go for exclusively textures, there's a LOT of mods you're going to miss out on that would be perfectly find to pack the meshes/materials/animations for.
I understand completely and I'll be following the provided link to unpack everything myself. I'm only asking what the issue with loose file mods are, make it sound like it's a bad thing, immoral even.
Loose files, textures especially bog down your game, can cause visual issues, and increases things like GPU and Memory usage since the game has to call on hundreds of loose files. By using packaged mods, files are preloaded when the game is launched, greatly reducing said issues. To ensure I'm providing the best user experience, I only offer my mods packed, and if one wants to unpack it they must do so at their own risk.
If others have issues with load order (cause they use way too many texture overhauls like me) and can't get the whole changing an esl into an esp thing to work, you can use the Bethesda Archive Extractor (BAE) to extract the filed and pop them into your game folder. Loose file isn't ideal but well sometimes a lil bit of brute force helps.
I love your work, Spiff. I consider you one of the best retexture artists on the Nexus. When I get back into Fallout 4, I'll definitely be giving this a go!
You have to wait for an ESP to be released or make your own. I'm in the same boat where nearly all my retexture mods overwrite this because it is an ESL.
FYI, I had the same issue and I simply changed the extension for this mod from .esl to .esp in the Data folder of the game directory and it seems to have worked fine.

I'm a huge fan of your landscape mods, especially Icepick and Scorched Earth Overhaul. I just got myself a gaming PC for the first time and I immediately went and downloaded at least 100 mods. I'm going for a more classical Fallout themed playthrough and I was looking for your Scorched Earth Overhaul mod for at least 2 hours before I realized you've deleted it, which sucks because that mod really is one-of-a-kind. From what I've seen from reddit threads a lot of people also miss it pretty bad and I'm wondering if you plan on reuploading it eventually. It honestly is one of my favorite mods to use in general and even moreso when paired with Vivid Fallout, which just makes the Overhaul look straight-up immaculate. No other way to describe it. I hope you see this and reupload it someday.

Unzip
Rename RedderRocket.esl to .esp
Re zip it
Open with mod installer
Load after Flaconoil textures
Which versions should I pick to download?
2k
or
4k
I'm very confused..
