a) I cant believe I never searched for "molerat" instead of "starlight" when trying to fix this problem... dam rats are there EVERY time you load in no matter what.
Simple tips if you don't want any molerats attack here, without any mod : Molerats in the Red Rocket area are scripted... The trigger is when you recruit dogmeat in the area.... But If you stay outside of the area, dogmeat see you and come to you. Recruit him outside the area (on the road). Don't unlock the Red Rocket map marker or workshop. Come back later (alone) after completing some quest (like helping Preston). No molerats attack anymore here (never, even with dogmeat).
All you need to do is leave the Red Rocket area before they spawn in and they will never spawn. That is all. My normal playthrough is, I'll recruit Dogmeat and then go immediately into the cave underneath the Red Rocket and then kill all the mole rates in there. Since this is where the Mole Rates are coming from, killing them all in the cave makes them not spawning outside of Red Rocket make sense.
Anyhow, my issue isn't the Mole Rates spawning. My issue is that the game never disables them, or the dirt mounds that spawn when they enter and teleport around the cell. This is a workshop settlement location, and you have to deal with these stupid dead mole rata and dirt mounds for the rest of the game, unless you disable them via console commands.
