In reading the Description page, It says you can only build one Vault. Does this mean I can not build a vault in one area of the map then build another vault in an other area of the map?
The reason I ask is I would like to build many vaults in my new play through. I found "Build your own Vault" https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10603?tab=description Yet it is old and not updated in a vary long time. Thou many say it works with limits.
I found this mod and love the looks of it and everything I have read about it. So I am going to install it whether I can build just one vault or many. I just need to know if I need to install "Build your own Vault as well.
Thank you for any help and Thank you to the mod creators.
Nice mod,I can build my own vault in sanctuary hills now. The vault‘s buildable area is really big and flat, now I can build my vault freely, and I even will spend more time on it...
Hi:) Question about a not so useful feature: can you lock the Vault's door so nobody from the outside can open the door despite them having a pibpoy? (roleplay question) =P
I'm very interested in this but for FOLO. Is there a way I could somehow get the item id so I could just bring it to me or is it like hardlinked to the quest mentioned in the description. I do have a mod that allows me to travel back to the commonwealth but I have yet to try it and dont want to bug my save to try going back to the commonwealth if theres an easy fix. TIA
Item ID is FExxx938. But you can also do help "Instant Vault Deployment Kit" 4 in the console to see the FormID relative to your LO, if you have trouble finding the xxx.
Currently living the most wet Dreams of a City Builder with this excellent Mod... however:
I also play with Sim Settlements 2 as well as Configurable Settler Limits and i have noticed that this Vault seemingly confuses the hell out of were or what it is.
One Moment i see the what ever out of 20 Settlers that i have defined and the next i see 0 out of 10. Then i have Residents that were lured in by the Radio Beacon that assign them self to the Workshop as expected but any Settler that was send to their new Home from my other Settlement won't count towards the Population.
Almost as if there are multiple Instances of the Workshop and they reliably assing them self to the one that is "empty".
Another time i had the Vault selectable Twice and it also showed up twice in the Workshop Tab, obviously one empty with all the manually assigned and now very unhappy Settlers and the one with the naturally spawned and more than happy Residents.
I can't quiet put my finger on it, i don't know if its something in my Modlist or if its a limitation that comes with this Mod it self.
However, after fiddeling around some more with the Mods i mentioned above (Configurable Settler Limits) i noticed something interesting and potentially usefull. I can, for example, set the Population for the Enterance and Interieur separately... link and unlink the two Workshops even let them "trade" with each other via SS2 Caravan Posts, exchange Power via a SS2 Power Relay Room, etc.
I still can't put my finger on it but it appears that the External Workshop is treated as its own Workshop Instance, every manually assigned Settler will be assinged to the Enterance Workshop, assing them self to Objects there if that is allowed and even do their Job there.
They will, for some reason, never Show up but thats what gave me the idea that i initially wanted to edit into the first Comment.
How about making the Enterance Workshop into its own, little, tiny Settlement? Or link it to the Settlement the Elevator Door was placed in if one wants to do that.
Other than that, the interieur Cell works flawless and who knows, maybe its just my Mod Combination that messes things up. If it is of any help, the only other Mod on my List that turns a POI into a Workshop is Nuka World Transit Center Settlement.
The exterior workshop shouldn't be it's own settlement. That would indeed cause issues, because, a settlement is supposed to be located in a cell flagged with the corresponding location... I wonder if you maybe installed some sub-par settlement mod, with a rather loose registration quest. Which picked up the exterior workshop for registration as well, in addition to whatever it was supposed to pick up...
Shot in the blue, SS2 Chapter 3 added War Mechanics and capturable Territories in wich one can build Defenses and such.
Only thing i can imagine is that this somehow picked up the Enterance Workshop as its own Territory... or i placed the Enterance at an existing Location by dumb luck.
I would need to give this Theory a try without SS2 installed however.
If really nothing turns up it must be something with my Mod List in wich case its not the end of the World. Everything important works as expected.
UPDATE: Finally got around to Test my Theory by running the Game Vanilla except this Mod. Repeat, only the Instant Vault (+Far Harbor, Nuka World PAteches and Extras) Installed.
I added the Deployment Kit via Console ran through the Intro, claimed Sanctuary, spawned in a Settler and moved a bit North of V111. Placed the Kit, Placed down the Elevator and headed into the Vault.
Fast Traveled back to Sanctuary and assinged the Settler to the Instant Vault.
Result was all the same, the Settler was substracted from Sanctuary and got assigned to the Enterance... more specifically the Settler assinged them self to a Mutfruit Plant while remaining stationary in Sanctuary.
Will run the Test with SSK Utilities added again.
UPDATE 2: Same Procedure as above with SKK Utilities. Diagnostics hands me one Keyword Error and one Notification while inside. Because i have no clue how to enable Logging and the official Source for this Info is on Maintenance i can not add a Log.
current Conclusion: The Exterternal Workshop is apparently seen as its own, independant Workshop entity and Settlers send from Outside assing them self to the Outside Micro Workshop rather than the Interieur Cell.

Negative, Mod is only installed once.
