What it does is make the regular bushes/vines/leaves invisible. That is something that has been done by several other mods.
It then places a duplicate for every single bush/vine/pile of leaves across the Commonwealth, Far Harbour, and Nuka World. These duplicates are scrappable.
The net result is being able to scrap these specific things, without the entire worldspace looking empty. Basically you get to see the world as unchanged as possible (a few things disappear, due to the way Bethesda did it in making the game - small tradeoff for having cleaner settlements).
A nice side-benefit is being able to scrap things across the world, as I showed with three custom settlements: Boston Common, Breakheart Banks, and Mystic Pines. Mobile workshops can be dropped as normal and will allow clearing. You can use Place Everywhere and go scrap bushes etc outside your settlement boundaries to allow you better view of the surrounds.
Mod authors will only need to break precombines if they really want to allow trees etc to be scrapped in their custom settlement.
ok i tried both this and the redux version. and no bushes scrap in sanctuary its like there are two of them it scraps but its still there. load order made no difference. must be a prp issue.
If you run other foliage mods (like A Forest for example) this version is an ESP and can be loaded after those mods so that it still works. The redux version is an ESM and can't do that afaik so any plants that other mods touch won't disappear when scrapped.
I've been dying a lot in the Boston area to frag mines placed underneath static geometry. Because of the collision blocking they are invisible, uninteractble, and unshootable. But they still trigger and damage on proximity to PC. For a while, I though I was just not seeing obvious mines. After the last death, I decided to hunt about with tcl and twf. I found while the mine placements are vanilla FO4, the geometry hiding them is from Clean My Settlements. I'll go out on a limb here and guess the author did not set out to "just a prank bro" us all with this and that there's something else going on here.
I tried everything to activate this mod. But nothing happens. i tried the chemist station and i cant find the " clean my settlement " holotape. And nothing appears in my pipboy. I downlaoded the Raze my settlement too.
PLEASE HELP! "Scrap Everything destroys my save file when i was in vault 88 so i have no choice to restart my game.
I run a lot of location edits and also PRP, if you've having trouble with the vault 111 elevator becoming invisible and you use PRP I would move PRP to the bottom of your load order, you just have to play the load order juggling game till you get it right :)
Can this essentially be a replacement for Scrap Everything? I hear Scrap Everything can be harmful to saves, but it's the only other mod that I know of that allows you to scrap things that the regular Settlement system doesn't allow you too.
Kinggath said tonight you have retired from making mods! I truly hope this is not true. I Love both of your mods "Raze My Settlement and Clean My Settlement" mods but, with the current update to SS2 every time I try to use Clean My Settlement in Sanctuary and several other settlements my new game crashes and I was really hoping you were working on a patch for it, It is an amazing set of mod and it makes every settlement look 100% better after it is done running. I like it that it did not mess with the precombines. Please tell me you are working on a fix
It's up there in the sticky - basically an invisible texture/bgsm file and used an xEdit script to place identical visible copies which can be scrapped in exactly the same location.

it might not happen on your save though, if it happens i highly recommend checking this mod
I just realized, you're not using the Redux version.
Any ideas on causes/resolutions?
Thinking about it, I’m picking that the collision from the bushes is the issue - it can also block activating corpses.
I’ll have a think about how to deal with. (Even though I’m mostly retired from modding.)
