I am absolutely open to any criticism people have about my knowledge. The guide has only grown since its launch, thanks to all those who have given their great insight and advice! If you find something that I could improve or correct, PLEASE tell me so I can either add, edit, or remove what you've mentioned. I want this guide to be the best it can be for a long time, so please let me know of new things! :]
If you're unsure, ask. I'll be happy to reply. However, most of my mods are custom made including my Raider Replacements, so if "custom mod" isn't the answer you're looking for then I'm very sorry kupo :(
Also here are the Discords which have armors and weapons that will definetly hold you over for awhile:
After following this guide, I can actually fight hostile NPCs without encountering the annoying freeze with audio playing crash. Instead of crashing my frames will drop for a few seconds then go back to normal. So far i've gone 20 hours without serious issues, my only crash was me exiting the mechanist lair after the boss fight but I think that was a known issue to begin with.
I have new PC and was confused that the game was running worse than it did on my old pc from six years ago. I was getting 60fps but with micro stuttering. Using your guide the micro stuttering has pretty much vanished. Realized it had something to do with light and shadows which your guide addresses. So, thank you for this guide once again.
It doesn't. It's a bug fix mod. It addresses broken functions, typos, and assigned values, but won't make your fps go up.

That on the other hand WILL improve performance, in that if you have a lot of NPCs you don't get a lag spike when the engine tries to generate all their face data on the fly when you first load an area
The only real pushback I offer is changing ugrids. There's a reason everyone says not to mess with it. It might not cause problems for "12 hours" but dump 40+ hours in and watch your save file become worthless.
If you want better draw distance fidelity, just follow the FOLIP instructions and generate your own LOD with TexGen, xLODgen and synthesis. Don't feck up your game by forcing it to load more cells than the engine is capable of. GamebryationEngine is a fickle mistress, and hell hath no fury like a Todd scorned.
Also, be wary of recommending "declutter" mods, because that means messing with precombined meshes and the author needs to take care not to break them, ironically making your performance mod worsen your performance.
IMHO, I wouldn't recommend mods that remove objects for the sake of performance, as the objects use little to no VRAM or GPU power, your gains will be inconsequential. The only reason to remove things like all shrubs etc. is for aesthetics.
Even trash/leaf piles have their uses. Most of the time the devs used them to cover up mismatched terrain/gaps between building and floor where they don't mate perfectly or you can see into the void. So for ex. removing all trash in the game would make things look worse lol
Best way to improve your performance is good ol fashioned sliders in the game options menu / launcher. Or get a new graphics card. Do it.. buy a 4090 you peasants. Buy 2 and smash one of them. CONSUME. SPEND. OBEY.
Are there any instructions for installing the ENBS because there is no download link on the site, I see a download link that is an advertisement but that is the only download I see and clearly if it's an ad I shouldn't download it
Google ENB Fallout 4, should bring up a page, Look slightly down the page and you should see a list of versions like v0.501 etc. Those are clickable links that will take you to the download page, at the bottom of that page is an [V] download the arrow downloads the enb injector.
Heya you should remove Optimax All in One from the list as it has been deleted as the mods produced by that author apparently did the opposite of optimizing textures so he deleted all his mods (At least that's what I've heard). Maybe replace it with 4estGimp - SavrenX HD Textures Performance BA2 Set or Vivid Fallout - All in One. Here's my source from The Midnight Ride in the Mods To Avoid section "Mods by RX9000 Misleading information about performance just to get downloads, for example Optimax actually has a higher VRAM usage and higher disk space requirement than vanilla archives. Also the author hides any mention of this in the comments, because transparency is very hard."
Also maybe remove Long Loading Times Fix, it's known to cause textures to become blurry/low res after playing for about 10 or so minutes and I think it might be abandoned.

Also here are the Discords which have armors and weapons that will definetly hold you over for awhile:
- ZARGE's Secret Lair
- FX's Discord, click the Discord Server button
- Ardent's Armory
- User Cerruti1889 for all the awesome settlement objects used in the screens, his work is on the servers above, so be sure to check them out!
Thanks to quote ALL modders

It just works.

My mod collection is hopeless. And cursed. And my hardware too...

Ive had windows fight me when I try to change file type - as a workaround I just copy and rename the fallout ini and delete whats in it :)
