This mod is not comparable to RS Children in my book, but I'm glad people got that thought to my attention, since I can definitely take it towards that path.
Just put mine at the bottom, since it overwrites anything CPC does to the presets. I can't remember the specifics as this mod is quite old, but I would install it last and overwrite anything it asks (if any) as well
this looks great !! reminds me of RS Children for skyrim (best children mod for that game imo) p.s. i second the desire for a replacer version (if possible)
I agree- Owen in Outcasts and Remnants Mod is a mess and can't be accessed to add weapons or change armor. How about Billy- the Kid in a Fridge becoming a brave, little ghoul kid follower instead of just staying home sitting in a swamp?
But i have a problem that when i select the preset their skin get very dark in the front but keeps his light skin tone on the back and don´t really fit on the shoulders. Also i can´t change much or select haircuts :/
Kinda late, but I managed to fix this on my end. The black face persists until you set the race via console, apparently. Had to use "player.setrace hc", and that fixed the face issues. If I had to guess, I'd assume there's some issue applying the new face edits over the default chargen race. Not really my area though, so I can't say for sure.
I tried using this mod, but I'm running into an error. It seems that whenever the mod is installed, my character's face disappears, but I'm not sure what to make of it.
OMG this looks fantastic, Ive actually used children meshes to create a teenager race cause there is no race for them. With some adjustments this fits perfectly. I cant belive bathesda went from 10yo to 20yo.. forgot all about the teens.. there is so much afraid for modders and anybody to talk or edit child meshes cause inmediatly they all think you are a sex offender and someone should call FBI lol! Im glad sombody is putting some love to the ugly child vanilla meshes. cheers.!
I wonder if maybe you can fix a long time bug... When you use CPC in a follower to change race, 2 things happen on reload. 1- head appear missing you need to refresh race by sertacehumanfemale and setracehc again.. 2- the uper lip of the mesh is the only one that has lip tint/texture. eyes and nose sometimes are also missmatched, usually is just the lower lip of the mouth tho. any suggestions? cheers
And yeah I agree that teenagers should be a part of the game, I'm down for any mod that enhances immersion and that includes character of all ages, shapes and colors.
As for your problem with followers, do you mean like changing Piper or McCready to HC Race? That may be a bug of the game trying to load the original records every time you re-load your game; I'd need to test things out myself to confirm this.

Ya, thats the issue, just tought you might have some ideas of maybe add some script attached to the meshes that forces this textures and meshes on reload. Also I just noticed cause Im using Fusion Girl that the neck mesh does not match the body, It overrides the cbbe 123 body patch from CPC. Maybe this is something you are interested into looking at since many of the CPC fans also use Children Extended and CPC 123 body patch.
Oh I'm terrible at scripting lol Scripting would only be necessary if you want to do things on the fly though, like loading a saved game with a McCready follower using HC Race that you set yourself with console commands, as opposed to making McCready use HC Race with a .esp file. I could do some tests.
As for the other issue, I'm not familiar with how CBBE plays into making a child tbh, but if it includes using Children Extended, I'll just say it sounds like an unnecessary mess... This mod will only work with vanilla-compatible stuff that doesn't alter the seams of the bodies
Not sure about Children Extended, as the mod author now states not to use it. With just CPC, the optional CBBE patch (the one found on the CPC file page), and using this head - there seems to be some mismatch between the body and the head. Now that could easy be since the heads aren't made for CBBE, but I also noticed the back of the neck and the front don't see to match up - that I'm not sure if it's because of the CBBE, or something else. To test this, I started a new game with all other mods disabled. Loading CPC then the CBBE patch, and then your head mod
CBBE does not match the neck seams for children, because it was never designed for children; my face meshes are based off vanilla, and anything made for children. I'm assuming that the CBBE patch matches the vertices of the children faces to adult bodies, thus making my face meshes incompatible
Sorry for bothering. It may be my own stupidity but I'm having a problem of the face being invisible. Minus the eyes and mouth. Its still invisible after I change race but then my arms turn pink. I'd really like to know if you have any kind of information that might fix it?
The only explanation I can think of for the invisible faces is that the meshes were not installed in the right place for some reason. The arms turning pink could be related to missing textures that change after you change races, you may need to get child clothing before changing races.
I think that possibly the new loose update from from CPC is causing some of the issues for people. In Vortex I had to choose the load order. Instead of that I just disabled this to see what the faces were like with out it - to me one of the mods puts the eyebrows way too high. Even with only 4 options the vanilla look more natural to me. That resulted in HR race having no eyes or hands. Any kids that were normal HumanChildRace were fine so seems it was just an issue with HC race. I rolled back the loose update and reinstalled this and they were fine again. I think it might even be an issue with masters - or lack of them maybe messing with the load orders or overwrites.
Is there any way to remove the bags under their eyes? I've noticed all faces have these default lines that make it look like they haven't slept in a while. Your pics show them without it.
Hi, I'm currently working on refining and adding more presets, that includes new textures; I was (accidentally) using textures from Children of Fallout when I took those pictures if you want those results.
Great mod, but I cant seem to use any sliders when editing npc's in looksmenu, I can edit my character's looks though. Open to suggestions, I'll delete my comment if I find out what's going on
Were you able to edit NPCs faces before installing this mod? My face meshes come with _facebones so there should be nothing stopping you from customizing NPCs, unless there is a mod changing Custom Playable Children's race on them
Okay, for some reason this mod isn't working for me, when i try to use any of the childrens face they are all vanillas, and i already tried to reinstall this mod but nothings change :/
By that do you mean the replacements for vanilla children or the presets for Custom Playable Children? Any other mod affecting children's faces may override this one.

Hey, could you do a replacer for Stella in the mod Depravity so she looks less generic? Possibly Owen in Outcasts and Remnants as well.

I actually passed on that mod before I got to yours, so I'll happily wait for an update from you instead :D
Thanks for your hard work! Love what you've done.
