There will be an update of this mod, just a complete revamp I'm sorry about the confusing installation method, the next version will be way more easier to install.

For now, please, check the FOMOD Installer on nitronizer's Proto Vault Suit download section.

Make them into standalone mods that can be add onto vanilla vault suits perhaps?

Edit: nvm it's exactly what it is, seperating linings and color might be a good idea tho

There will be an update of this mod.
      Keep waiting for news.
Just a few years more. It'll be called Fallout 10.

This doesn’t seem to work for me. Is it not compatible for armor smith expended possibly? Feel like that’s it. Despite that I installed the proto vault suit textures and this mod through MO2

Could someone explain the installation via NMM to me please? Yes the description says it's easy but for some reason it isn't working so either I'm missing something or it's not so easy.

I downloaded the Proto Vault suit from nitronizer (the file labelled - VaultSuit - Proto Standalone) via NMM
I then downloaded the file from srcanseco

Installed in the respective order but I'm getting blank menus when trying to modify vault suit at armor workbench.

EDIT: After doing some more looking into it I found theres a compatibility issue with Armorsmith Extended. Need an additional patch to get it to work.

Just a heads-up to anyone still coming here - you don't need to download each required vault suit texture separately from the proto vault suit mod - near the bottom of that mod's files page (link), there is actually an optional file specifically compiled to go with this standalone mod.

Is this mod still being supported? This is a very cool addition to an already cool mod.

I'm on a long break with fallout in general, I would love to update this mod, but I really feel overwhelmed with it, I need to think about this mod and remake it from scratch.

I just look back at what I did here, I can see a lot of things that need fixes and a patch for AE, also I need to talk to Nitronizer again... just too many things to do and not the time to do It.

After looking around with this mod and Armorsmith Extended, including the AE replacer files I can report the following:

Without AE replacer the added textures work properly on other standalone Vault Suit mods. (I've tested with "Unzipped Vault Suit" by spacepoptart)
When using the AE replacer "Armorsmith Proto Vault Suit Extended v2.4 (0.9)" the result is the same as without any replacer/patch
When using the AE replacer "Armorsmith Proto Vault Suit v0.9 v2" it works for the vanilla Vault Suits (tested with Vault 111 and Vault 114 suit) but anything added to them by AE is missing.

I've tried to take a look at ot with FO4Edit, but since I have no experience with modding, it is to complex for me to understand that easily. I guess creating a patch that fixes compatibility between different mods is not the best start into the whole thing

So I guess the fix for compatability between AE and this mod which enables using both on the vanilla Vault Suits has to lay somewhere inbetween these to patches. I guess somebody with more experience in modding would be able to see through all that stuff and fix it.

(I guess it will involve quite some copy & paste, which anyone can do. But somebody as unexperienced as me has trouble even finding the right parts to move around.

But still a great mod! Guess I have to go the long way and use this as a standalone texture replacer for other standalone Vault Suit mods until it is either fixed on one side or I can build a fix myself

PS: I haven't tried the AE replacer "Armorsmith Proto Vault Suit v0.9 v3" because it requires the Vault-Tec Workshop-DLC, which I doesn't own at this point.

Grab AE Replacer Proto Vault Suit v0.9 v4. I moved these color swaps onto the AWKCR color swap framework. No longer requires Vault-Tec DLC, or even Armorsmith, just AWKCR, and still works on all vaultsuits. Fully compatible with Custom Combat Armor and Unified Clothing Overhaul.

If it's standalone, where are the mesh files? This seems more like a re texture mod more than anything else. Sure you can have multiple instances of re texture. but not multiple body types. I think the latter is important for any armor or clothing mod to be considered "Standalone" So in the spirit of Modding, hopefully meshes will be added.

Read Gambit's post below. He did a great update for this mod that works beautifully. So not really dead and is worth the download.

Whenever you decide to revamp the mod, consider using the Color Swap System from AWKCR instead of attempting to create standalone suits. It's more efficient and less of a headache for everyone. TheKite's Vault-Tec Slave Suit works great as an example of how it can be done, as far as changing the logo/number on the back of the Vault-Suit. I'm sure most of us would rather have interchangeable "paintjobs" and logos on the same suit via workbench rather than 100 Vault-Suits.
Hope to see that update soon! Have fun!

    Thanks for the Mod.

I was hoping to be able to do bodyslides for the suit but I think it
has a global effect. Is it possible to make it single?

    Thanks
