When I am checking to see if I need to make a git push, I can do: git log --graph --decorate --oneline --abbrev-commit --all ...or I can do... git lola -10 ...or I can do... gl
Which requires a bunch of extra steps and doesn't work for Xbox players. Just because some things can be done by console doesn't mean a mod doing something similar is useless. If anything the mod option is a MUCH more user friendly choice. Especially when it's a mod that isn't taking up a load order slot. But if you'd prefer to do a lot of extra work you're welcome to do so. The rest of us can get back to enjoying our game faster.

I'm lazy and tend to use the last option.
Since I run F4SE, I can run:
Better Console
To make absolutely certain that I have the correct item referenced, I can run:
Highlight Console Reference
At which point I can then:
*open console*
*click object*
*click again a few times, until I get the correct object*
clearownership
*close console*
For maybe 30-50 items in Covenant.
Or I can go:
*that's owned*
*press one key*

open console
select item
type: setownership
close console
Open console.
Select the item or container you'd like to own.
Type 'setownership'
Press enter.
Won't work for Xbox users.
