Very nice. This is my daily carry weapon, I love the hell out of it. One of the few pistols that comes with good quality components out of the box. Barrel, trigger assembly, sights, everything is above-average without modding, unlike a lot of the other popular carry pistols.

I'm up in the air about it staying in my game, because I'm not sure it fits the aesthetic for me, but you nailed the feel of it pretty well.

I'm currently sitting at home with this same pistol strapped to my hip, grinning like an idiot while I download this. Can't thank you enough!

How many unique variants of the S&W M&P are there hidden in the game? I’ve found “ The Law” in one of the eastern police stations on the floor behind the chief’s desk but I haven’t been able to find anymore uniques. You’d think there would be a unique military variant but I’ve checked just about every military site. Has anyone found others out there?

Could anybody please let me know what are the diffeeences between the two ports of this mod on xbox? I asume is 2k/1k resolutions, but it's not soecified and I'd like to know. Also, does it work well with pistol reanimation pack? Thank you

You forgot P220 is also a famous one! xD
I was also using the P220 mod since I totaly wanted a proper gun which could use the 38cal. (not those selfmade pipegun vanilla scrap).
It's a nice gun - but it was already excessive in damage if especially using the 38cal. barrel.

But what I hate much more are these illogical damage modefier without any requirement, totally feels like cheating, you can just set it up at level 1 without any perks and nothing, and depending on how much the mod permits, a mere handgun is as powerful as a misile launcher...
    That's why I was using the P220.

And now I'll exchange it for your mod since it looks even more balanced! Still working with the P220 animation overhaul for this gun since it's a deliverer animation exchanger. But a no damage modefier version would be great (reason I told above)
    * though I found the legendary version already ( even first try xD ), it seems it does not appear on vendors or gunners.

Great mod. I've got a new Shield Plus so this is close and that's fine. Awesome model and really sounds good

You know it wouldn't be too difficult to make a "lore-friendly" version of the M&P. You basically just replace all the polymer textures with steel, wood, and other non-plastic materials (since oil was scarce before the Great War, and most plastics require oil to make).

Your definition of "lore friendly" doesn't fit in the Fallout 4 universe - because it is littered with polymers all throughout the Commonwealth.  From instruments of war to a bevy of common every day items.   Plastic is a COMMON resource in Fallout 4 - it's all over the place.

Not in guns.  Most plastics require oil to produce, and that was running scarce.  The only weapons in base Fallout 4 that use a lot of plastics are the Institute lasers, but those are post-war weapons.  Of course the isometric Fallout games featured certain irl weapons that used polymers in their construction (i.e. the P90 and G11), but seeing as even the newest of said guns was from the late 1980s-early 1990s irl, they likely predated the oil crisis that began in the 2040s in-universe.  If the M&P pistol also pre-dates said oil crisis, it probably would've been phased out once the necessary oil to make certain components became too expensive in favor of, perhaps, the Colt 6520, N80, or N99 pistol with the Boston PD.  The only modern/"tacticool" style gun to appear in the 3D Fallout games was the Assault Carbine in New Vegas, which felt really out-of-place compared to the Service Rifle tbh.

That said, I'm not a terribly big fan of putting plastic on my guns either in-game or irl so perhaps some mods that replace the plastic components with steel could be a good idea for a future update.  Maybe it'd also have effects besides cosmetic ones like making the gun heavier, but reducing recoil.

No idea why it double-posted my response, but whatever.

      Finally someone who gets it!
Honestly, these black, tactical, plastic-encased guns feels so out of place in Fallout 4 (more so than the Assault Carbine did in FNV. Way more.)

Imo some worn(er?) metal textures and wooden grips/stocks would go a long way to make mods like these a bit more immersive, at least aesthetically.

That would result in a pistol that isnt the M&P in any form. It has a designed from the ground up polymer frame, not something you can just replace with wood and steel.

Would changing the esp break the mod? I cannot get this mod into a fomod installer without it breaking the fomod installer. I'm fairly certain it's the '&' symbol.

Thank you very much for this!! The M&P 2.0 is one of my personal favorite handguns, and I was always disappointed there wasn't a mod to add it to the commonwealth, and I didn't have the skills to create one. Thanks again, great work!
