I had some hope, but ... A minimalist UI for me were (small scale) activator, container/loot and dialog options, if hovering over, and quest messages when appearing. Nothing else. Still a dream.
I wanted to make it myself once but my game had big problems with Def_UI, don't know why. Presumably I made some mistakes. I use iHUD since then, all infos toned down as much as possible, so you see nothing on the HUD normally, hp and ap appearing under 10%.. It's near perfect, but I absolutely don't like that the xp gain message which appears when you kill a NPC cannot be removed. Makes it much too easy to judge success in combat.
