Hey, just wondering if you'd be ok with me releasing my personal version of this mod? I changed weight and damage to a percentage, added an accuracy stat and integrated value into each stat roll so that it organically increases or decreases depending on those stats. I also just released my take on an armor version of this mod.
Anyways, thanks so much for making this mod! It really inspired me to get into modding this game. I didn't really know how else to try and contact you, so I guess this comment is my attempt.
Might be just me but I installed the mod and picked up 30 weapons and they all have the same stats no random ones so I either have bad luck in finding all the same stat weapons or something is wrong. For example I picked up 19 pipe rifles 6 were all blank(no mods) and piled together as they all have the same stats the rest had mods on which altered the stats and when I removed the mods they were all the same as the rest.
Wait what? So a weapon can have by chance as much as +15 in the weight value ???
Seems very strange... I don't get it, how do you justify that?
Why would two weapons of the same make and model have that much difference in weight?
Dirty riflings can affect accuracy and exit velocity (I think) so accuracy/damage differences are very real... But WEIGHT ?!?! I don't think so. Of cource IRL any such weapon would still be quite deadly even with 'dirty riflings' but just more inaccurate and possibly even become dangerous to fire.
Yo, you seem capable and maybe interested in making a little mod. id like to see an inddorcell randomizer, the forum didnt hear me and im not into modding but i think its an awesome idea. or you got an idea who to ask? greetings :)
This is the never-ending loop of many live service rpgs. Although I do not mind this, I always want to strive further in enhancing fallout 4. One question does this effect modded weapons
It applies to vanilla modded weapon but not mod weapons unless you do that in the Creation Kit. I personally have and works fine. I wanted to keep this script free so you won't get any performance issues.
Thanks for the response. Your mod is perfect for what I need. I am remastering fallout 4 in every aspect from visuals, textures, gameplay. This mod is now under my gameplay section. I like the idea of getting Weapons. But before I leave you I want to know if you would be making a version for armors in the game? If not are you able to do it for single piece armors like cage armor and not single pieces like combat?

You could also add random enchantments (like fire/frost/shock) to make it like Skyrim's random enchantment loot.

Wonderful mod idea otherwise, though.
DIRRTY movie no doubt.
I can do an article if you're interested in it.
Wonder if there are any weapon quality or "condition" (life like P/A?) mods to tie into...
