DESCRIPTION

Burn dead bodies to ash piles with a Flamer or a flip lighter!

Burns to the ground:
  • Alive or dead living creatures (anyone except any kind of robot)
  • Skeletons
  • Mannequins
  • Dead Brahmins


INTRODUCING TINY VERSION

I have added the Tiny version of the mod. This is lightweight standalone Burn The Body mod as it was done for Fallout 3.
With it you can burn dead bodies with a flip lighter and fuel ammo. Also, the tiny version could be a supplementary to the original Burn The Body mod for Fallout 4.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with weapon mods until they are using WeaponTypeFlamer keyword.
Compatible with mods that change Flamer's FX effects.
May have conflicts with mods, which changing containers (2 forms of dead Brahmin) and loot corpses.
Probably will not work with pre-placed dead bodies in third-party extension mods.
No DLC support at the moment: something will work, something don't.

100% compatibility:
Immersive Burning Molotovs and Flamers
Fallout Tactics Flamer Pistol
Lollipop Flamer and Pipboy (Pip-Boy)
The Assault Flamer - A Compact Endgame Flamethrower (burning with Cryo or Poison ammo looks very weird)


ISSUES

Issue #1: graphical glitches

There are 2 forms of such glitches:
  • Shader effects don't start
  • Shader effects may stop at the middle

Solution

No solution at the moment. I have spent lots of time to find what is a cause, but no luck.
Let me know if you know how to fix it.

Issue #2: DLC support

Solution

Just wait. At this moment I have to test everything in the core game.

Issue #3: mod won't work on persistent bodies

Solution

1. Leave a location, either run far-far away, either enter into a building, then go back and try again. This will reset NPCs and attach the script to them.
2. It is possible that I have missed something. Let me know about that. It would be good if you manage to open console and tell me the FormID.


FAQ

Q: Is the mod script heavy?
A: No, it is not. Some game engine & CK issues forced me made the mod in the way how you see it. It would be better when F4SE will have two specific functions to find object references in a cell.

Q: Bodies... they gone forever?
A:
Yes, they will disabled and deleted forever.

Q: I can't loot an ash pile! I forgot to take one thing...
A: It is intended. Think before burning anything.
