I've worked on and off on this mod since around 2016. I decided to finally put it on nexus for public use while I continue to chip away at the NPCs I want to edit.
CHANGELOG: v1.0 -- Original upload v1.1 -- For some reason, when I merged v1.0, the files turned into garbage. So I spent hours stripping the mod and rebuilding it from the ground up. Considering how old some of those files were, it's about time I did it anyway. It should be squeaky clean and functioning. v1.2 -- I had a little free time, so I added some more characters. v1.3 -- Fahrenheit, Katy, Alexis Combes, Doctor Carrington, Drummer Boy, Glory, Tina De Luca, Bobby De Luca all added v.1.4 -- Added Scara, Duff, Colette Cooke, Bluejay, Zeke, Emogene Cabot, Jack Cabot, Knight Rhys, Amelia Stockton, The Mechanist
Step 1: When you open Fo4Edit, a list of your plugins will appear. Right click and select "Select None." Then, find the mods you want to merge (the search function at the top is useful for this) and select those. Step 2: Load up your selected mods. Open up the drop down list in the mod and select the modded element. Step 3: Right click the modded element, and select "Copy as override into..." and select <new file>.esp at the very top. Name it something easy to remember or associated with the mod, for example "Neon's NPC Overhaul." Step 4: Copy all of the modded elements into your new .esp file. For the unmerged mods here, each mod only has one modded element. If you're merging a different file with a lot of modded elements, you can select the category at the top and select "Deep copy as override into..." which should do all of those at once. Step 5: Remember to save the new plugin as you exit. Then, go into your Fallout 4/Data file and find the file you just made to make sure it's there. After that, remove the files you just merged as they are no longer necessary.
(You can also use Merge Plugins but I prefer this method.)
OR -- you can go the opposite route. Say you want to use my mod but you don't want a certain character edited. Say you want Magnolia to keep her vanilla look, or you're using another mod that edits her. Load up Fo4Edit and select ONLY "Neon's NPC Overhaul." Go into the NPC tab and find the character you don't want edited, like Magnolia, and right click. Select "Remove," and then save the mod. The mod will function exactly the same -- you only removed the modification of the NPC you removed.
That's all you should need to merge (or unmerge) mods on your own.
Sorry to gripe but I'll never understand why a mod author would attach an otherwise wonderful mod to another mod that has TONS of bugs. Couldn't you just get permission from that mod author (and give credit) to use thier resources, allowing you to troubleshoot and fix any issues yourself, not only fixing any of those bugs that would affect your mod but also make it just a simple single plugin? I would love to use this mod but I can't use Eyes Of Beauty knowing it has over 30 bugs. I'm sorry. I used your Scarlett mod in my last play thru but I'm afraid I'll have to pass this time.
Understandable. I wasn't aware TEOB had so many issues. But, if I'm being honest, I don't think I'm an experienced enough modmaker to know how to fix what could potentially be wrong there. I'm just kind of winging it, here.
So i am using magnum opus downloaded with wabbajack and also with a lot of my own mods on top. I made the mistake to sort with loot and my replacers were messed up. Nobody looked the same anymore. Took me a while to find out that the amazing beauty of Isabelle Cruz is from this mod. I literally couldn't play the game till i made her look the same as when i saw her first. Endorsed.
i highly endorse this. A simple mod that changes the looks of the NPCs that doesn't require 5 or 6 other mods that will only ever need or will work for that one mod.
I don't know of any video tutorials. The program one would use for that is FaceRipper.
I can explain through text how to do it. You simply open up FaceRipper, and in the top section select the looks menu preset. That should be a .json file located in your Fallout 4/Data/F4SE/Plugins/F4EE/Presets folder.
Next, your target file will have to be a mod that targets a specific NPC and that one only. Use FO4Edit to find the NPC you want to edit, and create a new .esp file. In FaceRipper, open that file on the bottom. (Note: You need to make sure to have any masters checked ahead of time or it will mess up! Masters are any hair mods, etc that you're going to use.)
Click "Transfer" and it will create a new file. Save the older one, and keep the new one in your Data folder. Activate it to use.
If you're referring to the brown face bug, that is not a CBBE error, necessarily. If you are having any errors with CBBE, I suggest completely deleting the mod and reinstalling it, and if you continue to have issues then please let Caliente know about that.
But the brown face bug-- the bug when sometimes character's faces turn a bronzed-brown and lose all detail-- that is caused by texture issues. Specifically, low-res textures mismatching with high-res ones. If you have a mod for skin installed, or you're using the HQ DLC, then it's a big chance you'll get these mismatch issues. Makeup mods, skin texture mods, etc that are too low-res must be scaled up to match the higher resolution skin. Either that, or you must avoid installing low-res mods entirely.
If you're not referring to the brown face bug, but instead something like a visible neck seam, then I am unsure how to help.

edit: nvm, Eyes of Beauty is a hard requirement if you're using MO2. Otherwise, the esp won't be recognized
Thank you very much!
Do you know where [ how to make looks menu preset tranform to a npc replacer -example ] video of tutorial ?

And I have questions about CBBE miscolor.
The head and the body color that connects can't be exactly the same color in the game, is everyone going to experience this phenomenon?
Example : head set 1A color, body set 1A color also, but head like 1Ab color and the body like 1A color in the game.
