Did you ever want an actual Hi-Tech settlement with all those cool gadgets and pieces you saw in the game but could never interact with? Did you ever wonder just HOW the Enclave was going to colonize Mars? Did you ever just want to get back into space again and look for Mothership Zeta? Then this mod is for you.
Adds a discoverable launch site with a Rocket somewhere in the Glowing Sea that links to the new location in orbit. You can either join up with the inhabitants, or clear them out to take it over.
# Early Release (Pre-Alpha Testing). Will welcome any suggestions / tips on improving this. Open to requests once base build & quests have been done. As I build this, I see more and more that I need to learn. All instruction is appreciated! Open to help with dialogue scenes.
What is this place?
The ESS Republic Advanced Orbital Command Post (AOCP), the current "Nightwatch" orbiter, is the strategic command and control military spacecraft jointly operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Administration (USSA). The ESS Republic serves as a survivable mobile command post for the National Command Authority, namely the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, and successors. Cryogenic habitation, production, and remote support capacity are reserved for members of Congress, the Department of Defense, and up to 800 staff, in the case they are able to make it onboard, for the 18-month transit time to and from Mars, plus 507 days on ground.
The ESS Republic Expeditionary Strike Force Orbiter integrates full functions, capabilities, and responsibilities of a Carrier Strike Group and Expeditionary Strike Group to provide an even more potent capability. During wartime, the ESS Republic is denoted as a "National Orbital Operations Center". The Republic provides command and control of U.S. nuclear forces in the event that ground-based command centers have been destroyed or otherwise rendered inoperable. In such an event, the highest ranking person aboard the ESS Republic serves as the Orbital Emergency Action Officer (OEAO) and by law assumes the authority of the National Command Authority and could command execution of nuclear attacks.
