Version 1.1 fixes a bug where the bubble turrets will become hostile if you shoot them.
If you have existing bubble turrets, store them and then re-place them in workshop mode. That will ensure that the correct turret script gets added to the turret.
i've got another this might sound stupid... the turrets are falling through floors / roof etc to the ground if i have them on several levels above ach other, they will even all fall to the ground and effectively appear as one structure, so a missile launcher in a spotlight for example i know it isnt only your turrets, but because i use them so much more than any others, it is really obvious that it is happening with your turrets it is happening to most, if not all in some cases happening at all settlements if the fall through one of the thick floors they basically disappear from sight, or just leave a tiny bit of the top visible, if lucky i tried a mod that suggested it would fix it, but it didn't i started a new playthrough a few days ago and it seems even worse this time any ideas? did you just [sorry i don't know much about any of this but have tried to learn] create a patch increasing each turrets defence, or did you do anything else as well? i think the additional defence rating is great. and being wireless fantastic. i think the mod is great in all those aspects, otherwise i wouldn't be using it so much. i just wish the mod that let you not have to go back to help defend your settlement if defences were high enough still worked.
sorry to bother you again. i'm hoping you would be willing to help me please, with a patch. i want to actually do it myself, but could really use some help please. even with the most basic of patches i don't know what format to save them, so don't.
i'm hoping "Anti Turret Syndrome" [https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48191] can stop your turrets from falling through platforms etc. i have mostly been placing your turrets on the ground this play through, but where i have been putting them above the ground, most have fallen to the ground. the added defense of your turrets makes them so desirable i want to continue using them.
the instructions given are "Just add the AntiTurretSyndrome script to your mod turrets and add this mod as master".
i posted a request on that mod's posts, but no response.
i know [assume] i use fo4edit. i know how to open it and select relevant mods. i don't know how to "add the AntiTurretSyndrome script to your mod turrets". i think i know, but am not 100% sure how to "add this mod as master". some specific instructions where necessary [mainly "add the AntiTurretSyndrome script"] would be incredibly helpful, please.
I have no idea how to do it in FO4 Edit - I only know how it might be done in the Creation Kit. It's not something that I can easily describe.
Your situation is extremely odd to me. I have never (in 5-6 years of playing FO4) had turrets "fall through platforms".
If the platforms are not navmeshed, then sure, it could seem to happen. Since turrets are actors they will sometimes move from a non-navmeshed to a navmeshed area.
It happens sometimes with the turret at the Gunners overpass near Sunshine Tidings. It's why the roofs of Sanctuary are navmeshed - players will naturally put turrets up there. It's also why we sometimes have brahmin and settlers appearing on the rooftops, there's navmesh there for them to walk on.
Turrets "falling through" though - that indicates something is severely broken in the game.
i have been trying to research to get the answers i need, but i'm finding it very difficult. when i think i've found something, preferably a youtube video, that might help, often not far into it they say something along the lines of "if you don't already know how to get to this stage then this video isn't for you"
i thought nexus would have some easy to find links to useful information about the very basics of creating mods and patches etc for beginners, but can't find anything.
i've asked advice from some other mod creators, but either get no reply or get told to join a group and ask for help, but never get any suggestions as to a suitable group.
not sure why, but it happens a lot, sometimes most if not all turrets fall through floors and roofs, no matter what type, concrete or wood. doesn't matter if only not that high off the ground or a long way up.
not sure to what degree my game is broken. it crashes, sometimes often, but i read plenty of comments about it being typical. i took some advice from some stuff skk wrote and changed some of the mods i use and that helped quite a bit.
i overbuild in most settlements, even when i tell myself i'm not going to.
i try to have ugrids as high as possible, because i like the sniper style of play quite a bit, but have to reduce them when anywhere near parts of the city.
anyway, thank you for replying. i keep trying to find some beginner level information that is useful for me.
You would have to rotate them with Place Everywhere. It sucks, however I don’t have the skill to re-work the animations and “bone structure” of those turrets. It makes it impossible for me to have them stick to ceilings and walls.
Of course, Bethesda just rotated and placed in the Creation Kit when they placed the things in the world. Easy-peasy for them - much harder for us.
So that means, bubble turrets in this mod are useless. And only mod that allows to place bubble turrets on walls/ceiling is Advanced Bubble Turret Set. How pity that Advanced Bubble Turret Set mod current status are unknown
Sorry for the late reply I don't usually get a response from a mod designer. Any turret really.... I see many use your mode with no issues, I have a passive power mode installed, I also have passive power on home maker expanded settlements, perhaps there is a conflict? It's definitely unpowered but I can't seem to get the wireless power active. Thank you for your time.
I experience the lost of power to the turrets and to lights also when there is a disconnect of the main generator, either by destruction or me moving stuff around to make room for others. All I do then is lift them up and drop them and they start working again. This happens with basically any device that is wireless connected to the main power source. Just my 2 cents. Other than that, I like to get some unkillable ones so I don't have to be fixing stuff all the time instead of hunting beats and creatures!
I install this mod and not satisfied, so i remove it. Now my defense categories in workshop menu is gone.
(Yes, i installed 'Settlement Menu Manager')
------------------------------------------ Oh, well... I didn't know what 'Settlement Menu Manager' are actually doing. So It seems u can 'repair' your workshop menu by using it. It's better if author notice that to mod description.
Unfortunately there is a lot of bad information out there about "clean saves" and suchlike. Teaching people the truth is unfortunately difficult - you get lost in the sea of conflicting opinion and nobody knows which to follow.

any ideas?
did you just [sorry i don't know much about any of this but have tried to learn] create a patch increasing each turrets defence, or did you do anything else as well?

but it doesn't work for mods
does say easy to make patch, but i've no idea about how top do that

Bethesda Mod School
He has a full series that starts from real basics.
Also look at the Sim Settlements Toolkits:
Sim Settlements - Builder's Toolkit
Add-on Maker's Toolkit for Sim Settlements 2
These are where I got started.
any suggestions please?
ultra-violence is great
can't get extra pieces and snaps to display in menu either
i've added a couple of other mods that add items via additional submenus and they work
Tried running the smm holotape but no dice. Why has Bethesda thrown us into the pool of radioactive poop?
Of course, Bethesda just rotated and placed in the Creation Kit when they placed the things in the world. Easy-peasy for them - much harder for us.

Sorry for bad grammar.
I'm not English user.
The only method of cleanly removing a mod is to revert to a savegame before the mod was installed.

*Thumbs Up* I thought everyone knew this, it's pretty much plain common sense. NO pun intended.
