Please read the description tab and note that this mod uses 14 custom add on nodes. The nexus has approximately 40100 files so if you are experiencing any weird effects with the lights then most likely it is a conflict with another mod. FO4 Edit & Nifskope are your friends so if possible try to learn how to use these powerful tools.
I included the Targeting HUD options for fun but I would like to in the near future make a compatibility patch for West Tek Optics https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12220
That mod really does an awesome job with thermals / nightvision so I hope to make an optional file so that the ranger helmet uses the West Tek keywords & benefits from the hotkey / toggle switch.

Quick summary from mod page: "Creates an invisible eye piece that uses FadingSignal's West Tek Tactical Optics framework. Lets you have the benefits of west tek optics vision modes wearing whatever armor you want. Can be customized to use 7 different armor slots for maximum compatibility. Designed for vanilla FO4, does NOT use Armorsmith Extended."

Added an optional file for those using the Desert Ranger Combat Armor by ThyLD. The Helmet has been buffed with increases in armor, energy & radiation rating. Use the Armor Bench to swap out the helmet texture. This optional file is an ESP replacer & can safely overwrite the main file if you choose to do so. *NOTE* that the optional desert ranger file will remove the helmet from the commonwealth(train car by Gunners Plaza). Helmet can still be crafted at the chem workbench. Thanks & credit to MONOMVNIA.

Updated the mod to 1.1. Fixes include correcting an error that was reported in FO4 Edit. Also removed the double entry for "weave" when modding the helmet at the armor workbench. Just overwrite old version and you are good to go. Thanks for the downloads and endorsements. I am very humbled and appreciative of your support and obviously thankful to Toasty for releasing the original mod.

Mod Updated to 1.2. Increased the light radius on all light options. Setting was 1024 now changed to 1600. I have gotten a lot of requests for making an enhanced helmet for Grilled Turkey's Ranger mods. Well that mod is now live & covers the Ranger & Riot Armors of NCR Oufit Pack here.
would be great to use, but being locked to getting lone wanderer 2 means ill never use it as i have no need for that perk. and you disabled it spawning with the desert armor skin so Icant even pick it up...
Open up FO4Edit. Select the NVRH Enhanced.esp & load plugin. Expand the light branch. Select the light you want to change or all if you want to. Change the radius to 1042 or 1600. I find these values to be a good happy medium. See example image here.
Latest loot says this: This plugin contains records that have formid outside the valid range for an esl plugin. Using this plugin will Cause Irreversible Damage to Your Game Saves.
So this true or can I run F4 without any problems.
That error was fixed with version 1.1 ages ago. I don't know why Loot keeps flagging it, and I don't think Nexus / vortex should rely on it as it isn't a very reliable tool. Either way to put your mind at rest you can run this without any problems. If you still have your doubts, 100 000 people have downloaded this mod & no one has reported "Irreversible Damage to Their Game Saves".

I have a dire thirst for the GrilledTurkey / Project Mojave style helmet version of this. Especially given that equipping this version unequips the body armor of the Grilled Turkey version :=;
