Please do note, I make this for my personal gameplay, so most coffee/tea has been edit/added not just a little immersive and interesting, but also a little more 'worth to use' item rather than just some fancy aid item. If you preferred a simplier version, this is not for you, I'm sorry.
It was not a matter of corrupted textures but rather a matter of bad packaging. I have repacked the bsa's, changed the esp into an espfe and added the missing Vendors as well as adding an additional brigher lamp option rather than replacing the original lamp as this mod did originally.
I have sent this file to the mod-author in hopes that he will upload it here.
I just confirmed this with the Nexus Admins. As the author specifically dis-allowed the distribution of the complete mod, I will not be able to upload it here. As the main cause of the problems was bad packaging, I can't upload only a patch for it either.
Unfortunately you will have to wait for the original author to react.
can you give us a tutorial on how to do it? because I just extracted all the ba2's and used them as loose files but the textures are still purple on load, but something interesting happens, when I use esp file explorer and get cups into my inventory, the textures fix themselves, but they revert back on the next load.
That's a shame, looks to be such a good mod too! Aesthetically pleasing clutter and nice aid items. I think I could fix it but I'll just deal with it later.
for anyone having problems with this mod, the main problem is the author separated the materials and mesh folders into separate ba2s when they should've been combined into one Main - ba2 so the game isnt reading them properly. Just run Cathedral assets optimizer on the folder where the ba2s and esp are found. Make sure you follow the instructions on the STEP wiki and it all should work properly
It is too long ago for me to remember correctly. But I think the vendors were either already there (in xEdit under "Furniture", just invisible in game). Meaning all I had to do is to point to the correct Material Swap-file. Or there was only one vendor and I created the others by copying the one vendor a couple of times and then adjusting the material swap. You have to adjust the material swaps to match the corresponding counters (in "Stat") making a matching vendor for each counter.
I remember that I also had to fix the position of all the vendors (the settlers would always stand in the mittle of the vendor-counter instead behind), in Creation Kit though.
Thanks. I'll take a look in Creation Kit and xEdit to see if I can get that adjusted.
For anyone else: The mod works for me except for the vendors after I had repacked the textures. To do this follow these steps:
1. Use Archive2 to unpack the ba2 files into normal folders with dds files. I believe this comes with the Creation Kit you download from Steam. Delete the original ba2 files. 2. Use Cathedral Assets Optimizer (Cathedral Assets Optimizer at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)) to repack the folders from step 1. It should create a Main.ba2 and a Textures.ba2. Don't worry, anything that's used for Skyrim can be used for Fallout 4. 3. Zip up the folder containing the main, textures and the esp. 4. Install the zipped folder using Vortex or MO2.
Due to the original author's wishes, I can not share my work.
Do you still have the solution you made? I know it's been a while but I don't understand what to do and I wanted to use this. Is there any way you could share it by email or through an external link?😥
I'm so sad this is busted. I wish I had more of a tutorial than what sugar0coated provided as I'm rather new to fiddling with mods, but ah well. It's nice that this is up here, but sad as heck that I can't get any of the placeables to work properly - it may be a mod conflict, may be the bug mentioned in so many other comments....
Tried a new save. Tried a new save with ONLY VANILLA and Slocum Joe+this mod. Nothing works. I tried old versions, new versions, merging new and old versions. updating old verisons. I cannot get anything to work with this mod. Thats going on here? Really excited to have more donuts and coffee and nothing
I've managed to fix my missing textures, mostly. The textures for the current version are corrupted, but the older versions have working textures, just not for the new vendor counter. The only item that is invisible for me is that new counter piece, but the old one works fine. It's really easy too. Here's what I did for reference:
1. Download the newest version of this mod (2.2). 2. Extract all ba2s with Archive2 and place them in the same place as you have the ESP (as loose files). Delete the ba2s. 3. Download version 2.1 in a separate location. Extract all of the ba2s for that version. 4. Copy the loose meshes and materials folders from 2.1 into the 2.2 file. Let them overwrite.
From there, I just left them loose and it worked fine aside from the one vendor piece that is invisible, as we don't have working files for it. Hopefully, lvdjj will return one day and update it to working state without the extra legwork :)
FELLOW WASTELANDERS, this mod is not working as of 2020 (claims to have been fixed in june 2019 and through several posts) the materials are missing, the items unvisible and nothing has to do with load order or anything, as of now the mod seems abandoned and thus i don't recomment downloading it
Yeah getting the invisible non-placeable workstations glitch. Luckily I know my way around CK so I switched the tea recipes all to the vanilla workstation, as well as tweaked some other things ;) I appreciate the work as I know modding is time consuming and what works on your PC may not work elsewhere.
*Update* now I can't go back in the menu or exit the workstation *Edit Update* OK so I can get out but touchy about placement and wonky/glitchy. May need to update the recipie categories so they're more distinct and orderly
Also the coffee disappears when dropped from inventory. The meshes seem to not work. May end up merging your mod into another using the vanilla textures. *Edit Update* It would seem the texture files are wonky as I tried using archive extractor and it work on all the bae files except texture which gives no files on extraction with an ctd for the program.
Can confirm latest texture file is corrupted as the beans and beets are just shapes. Installed manually to make sure not bad install as well as redownloaded and no dice. The older version works but of course missing the 2.2 add ons. I would not recommend this until issue is resolved. Otherwise this is a comprehensive mod with a lot to offer. Personally I like it more simple and gritty with some of the vanilla textures but all in all hope the mod author comes back
How come the coffee and teas that aren't made with alcohol have the alcohol keywords on it? Shouldn't those be removed so that survival doesn't trigger alcohol effects or debuffs?

Sadly it has a bit of McGuyvering but we came to brew coffee and chew bubblegum.
Jokes aside do love this mod and wish everyone luck on patching it so they can play with little issues.
