Version 1.2.1 uploaded - FIXED: instant switching of poses, no loading screen.
Version 1.2 uploaded
Spoiler:
Show
- FIXED: mod could get broken when used while wearing Power Armor, or while already sitting in other furniture. - ADDED: Pressing the hotkey again while already sitting will change the pose (saddly, there may be fade out or loading screen). - CHANGED: the plugin is now in ESL format.
No special steps neccessary when updating from older version.
Nice work. A good amount of options and the ability to wait is well appreciated. Could really use controller support though (binding buttons doesn't seem to work).
If you were to make a controller-friendly version, would it be possible to have you hold down the button you selected instead of a simple press (to avoid conflict with other prompts)?
I am not sure if it was this mod, or the Auto Walk mod, where somebody already asked me way back when to make it work with a controller. I didn't have a controller, so i wasn't able to test it myself, but i tried to add support for controllers anyway - it looked fine, but people with controllers reported it doesn't work, and that was the end of it.
It is possible that over the years, as F4SE was updated, it may have gotten better support for controllers, but i don't have the time for another blind trial and error attempt. If somebody with a controller can try to make it work, feel free to release a patch, or let me know what the problem is, and i will make necessary changes and update the mod.
Alternatively, you could try using something like Autohotkey to make a simple script that will react to controller (technically joystick) buttons and send corresponding key to the game (a key you would bind to the action). More about that here: https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/v1/misc/RemapController.htm
the animations reset character scale, is this this mod's issue or is it an incompatibility with other aaf mods that force character scale before animations? ty in advance, great mod
The sitting is done by ...well, sitting in a dynamically placed furniture. The reason why actor's scale may get reset (temporarily while sitting in that furniture), is probably because the furniture is configured as such by having the "RaceToScale" keyword (or something like that) attached to it. I don't think i added that keyword intentionally. The furniture objects are just modified copies of some standard chairs, which likely did have that keyword in vanilla game, so my special furniture inherited it and i just didn't think about it.
If i am correct and the presence of that keyword is the reason for the scale reset, then it should be easy to fix by removing that keyword from the furniture(s) added by this mod. If somebody feels like releasing a plugin replacement that does so, feel free, because i am not able to right now.
Awesome mod, works like a charm for me and way better & smoother than the old Sit Anywhere mod. Now I can sit next to The Pond and not jump up everytime I move the mouse for a better view^^. MCM settings is also a big plus. Endorsed.
My only request would be the (optional) addition of a sitting smoking animation, apart from that this is just lovely.
This mod is realy "new", should be everything ok, no? Not outdated or so. I am loading this in my modlist. Starting a CLEAN SAVE. I can load the game. Save the game. Load it again. CTD. No chance to start the game.
This happens with a couple of mods to me, but no one else have problems with them. When I try to track down incompatibility I am ending up with 99% of my mods not compatible?
How can this be? I mean, 99% ?! I feel dump because I always seem to be the only person on this nexus which such problems :(
edit: System is new. I just startet playing und moding fallout 4. so everything is up to date like F4SE. I also modded my Skyrim before. so I know a little bit of LOOT, MO2 or so. over 500 mods (not smooth than I wanted it to be, but I can load any save game ^^). :(
edit: Found the bad guy: buffout 4. Everything is fine now.
Buffout 4 is known to conflict with other mods, personally don't use it since. The mod page literally says nothing but like to a github page that doesn't exist anymore. The mod author didn't bother to update it. So making figure out what conflicts with that mod a lot harder.
Sorry for the necro, but for all who come her after: The original Buffout 4 is no longer maintained; if you want/need it it, use Buffout 4 NG fork; that one IS still being updated, it works with this mod (at least for me) and even with a couple AAF mods that are otherwise real picky about their requirements.
Am I the only one who downloaded this mod and has it working perfectly well except for a "wait" button not appearing? It appeared at the first time when I used the animation, but now it doesn't...
UPDATE: No, it's fine. It only disappears when you're in some dangerous situations like a rad-storm. I apologize for wasting time.

If you are using MO2, you need to add this in the .ini file from your MO2 profile
