I am baffled as to why Croup Manor has not got the ability to use the fishing chair! I hadn't even realized that it wasn't possible to build this particular one here, until just now while building a fishing-intensive settlement! Whoops! I think they worked on the MODDED Croup Manor but clearly not vanilla. I have other fishing chairs but this one's definitely always been the best.
I just released this, you might be interested. FO4 Fishing Compendium This is an attempt to combine and expand GKX GoneFishin, Basic Fishing and cVc Fishery into one cohesive and seamless experience.
I don't know if it's possible, but there are lots of Dolphin Corpses on the Beaches. It'd be nice if we could have some Dolphin's to catch, maybe need a more powerful Fishing Rod.
Many thanks for this! It's the simplest of the very few fishing mods there are for settlers. And dare I say it....It Just Works! I love anything that can give settlers more varied jobs at minimal impact. This does it. I've got my first one set up on a dock at Sanctuary, happily fishing every day. Next Stop, the back deck at Taffington!
Hello, I know this mod is old, but would it be possible to add an optional file that enables the mod for all settlements (or at least those with water in the vicinity)? Using a mod that expands vanilla settlement borders opens access to water in some settlements, like Covenant & Oberland station for example, & it would be cool to be able to build the fishing items there. I looked in FO4Edit but couldn't figure out how to edit it myself (I'm a newbie to this). Any pointers on how to do it would also be appreciated. Cheers
So if I wanna use Gone fishing with this mod I download Zorka'z's Gone Fishing ESL only and the main GF from LeahTheUnknown's page? And I assume load the real GF after this GF c: ugh... is that right? I also use Resources Expanded :p
Author, thank you. Good job! A good idea for a plugin. Fishing is always a good idea for most games
However, I found a conflict with the "Scrap Everything" plugin. Apparently the plugin affects (for some reason) some objects in settlements. In Century Hills: 3 houses (removed using the plugin) reappear (at the bridge, near the workshop, in front of the player's pre-war house), as well as various garbage. Parking lot "Red Rocket": the whole structure itself (which I accidentally deleted) does not appear, but posters that were on the walls, ivy hanging on the walls, garbage on the roof, on the ground appear. I didn't check the other settlements.
It's a pity, I can't do without "Scrap Everything" anymore, otherwise I will have to rebuild part of Century Hills and other settlements, move houses to vacant places, which I need to spend several evenings on. So now we will have to do without fishing.
I use both these mods, and not having that issue at all , I'm still in sanctuary hills , as well as scrap everything I'm also using a mini robot to scrap for me , old houses n dead bushes , and haven't seen anything re appear n such when I do a little fishing or not ?
This is so simple and such a good idea I can't believe it's not part of the original game.
Unless, that is, Bethesda plans to include it in their Fallout 4 SE 10th Anniversary Edition in a few more years. Not that they would ever do something like that.
This is a good mod, but whacky for survival. Simply put: Ergret Tours Marina and Taffington Boathouse are not self sufficent for survival, as there is no recipe for making food out of Tigerel or Dullmon that does not use Swampfish or Rad Bass. Luckily, Dovahking's patch addresses this, although it still needs correction in v1.5; additionally the caps value of Dullmon is miniscully low, which actually affects hunger restoration (because Fallout idk).
Question: I have installed the ESL version (with Resources Expanded) and I'm not sure it's working properly. So my question... I sit and start fishing -- 10 seconds pass -- I stand automatically and receive the notification "This mine appears to be depleted" -- is this normal?
I'd previously installed this mod (possibly a standalone version) and I would continue to fish until I made my character stand and would only receive notifications regarding catches. Have I screwed this up some how? Is this how the mod is meant to behave?
Figured sitting for ten seconds at a fishing spot doesn't constitute "patience" as prescribed in the description.

Here's Nistons's great script library. Check it out if you're a modder: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/37531
Also I forgot to add: You need a fishing rod to build the fishing chair

You said it.
