1.  The Colt Woodsman is a semi-automatic sporting pistol manufactured by the U.S.Colt's Manufacturing Company from 1915 to 1977. It was designed by John Moses Browning.[2] The frame design changed over time, in three distinct series: series one being 1915–1941, series two 1947–1955, and series three being 1955–1977.

Reintroduced in 2021 the Woodsman was upgraded by Colt with many new barrel options (charged, explosive and laser) to bring it into the 21st century using patented sublimation technology that causes the lead in the bullet to take on many different characteristics.  This culminated in the dual fusion barrel in 2067 that made a standard weapon into one that could be used to take out a city block or two in an afternoon of fun target practice.

This weapon is somewhat of an early weapon but with the barrel mods it can provide service through the mid and potentially the end game depending on the mods you use with FO4.

Location: Outside Vault 111 in a ruined car.



Note:  The schematic for the weapon and some ammo boxes are also with the weapon.  The boxes of ammo should regen over time, so can get more ammo until have the ability to make your own at the chem station.

1a. Weapon ID: xx000F99 for the starting version.



Note: The weapon and the ammo may be built at the chem station if have the schematics, materials and the right perks.

1b. Ammunition: Uses 22LR ammo; ID = xx001739

1c. Modifications:  The basic Woodsman may be changed as indicated below.

Receiver: May enhance the base receiver up to 8 times (4 in semi mode and 4 auto) via mod upgrades.  At this point no change to the look of the weapon as follow it's path.

Barrel: The Woodsman starts with a standard barrel with a short and long version for it.  Besides that there are Heavy, Accelerated, Explosive, Laser and Fusion barrels each with a short, standard and long version.



NOTE:  Added a green bar to the front sight to assist in the ability to see what aiming at in 1st person especially at night.

Grip:  The starting Woodsman has the basic starting Grip with 4 additional ones (comfort, marksman, assassin and angel) that may be used to change the look and enhance the weapon.

Magazine:  Two basic magazines available for the weapon, short and long with a quick option for both.

Sights: Have a reflex, standard, night vision and recon scope that can be added to the weapon.

Bayonets: No bayonet can be added to the weapon as a muzzle enhancement.

Muzzle: There are 6 available mods for the Woodsman(including 2 different Suppressors).  The Fisher Suppressor does not look that good on the standard barrel, you can attach but well it looks wrong.

1d. Animations: Using standard FO4 modifications for the covert sidearm.

Permissions: Base weapon is 500SLR's resource here on the Nexus.  Fusion barrel is a modification of a mesh available on Blend Swap under CC-BY-NC by 3DHaupt(You are free to: Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material).  Remixed and transformed part needed to work with the Colt Woodsman.

3.  Requirements: FO4 base game only, no DLCs are needed.
