For you all that says "it breaks PreCombines". It doesn't. Learn to load-order. If you're using PRP it needs to load after this mod. If you do that, all good.
Hello, and thank you for the mod I would say that it works halfway because I have a light projected on the ground but nothing at the bulb you know why. I use ultra interior lighting, ultra exterior lighting and ELFX, moreover for information I use Interior Beantown and your mod conflicts with but I would say nothing bad just place your mod before Interior Beantown.
this mod breaks precombs, or in some way, it absolutely tanks fps. in any urban area, i drop from a stable 60-100 fps down to about 20 with huge lag spikes when looking in certain directions. please, if you are experiencing lag similar to i was and want to eliminate it, then please remove this broken mod from your load order, thank you. i have a load order of ~500, and this was driving me absolutely nuts.
I have not experienced that. Are you playing on the latest version of Fallout 4? There's a bug where any mod you have that alters NPC's causes exactly what you are experiencing. Have you tried creating a new profile and installing just this mod and seeing if you have the same issues? I know I am bringing this back from the dead here but again, I have not noticed any FPS drops since installing this mod.
This mod doesn't break, alter, or even remotely touch the precombines. That was a specific goal of the mod. It's also why the added lights pop into existence and aren't visible at greater distances. Light sources and Light Posts were added to the world space, but no vanilla assets were so much as nudged. If they were nudged it caused a CTD in my testing, the problems were rooted out and the files were cleaned and retested until there was no discernable difference in gameplay after the new content was added.
The shadowing version, as has been noted many, many times, will destroy any computer. The non-shadowing version did not produce any significantly degraded performance in my testing.
There are known regions of the map that when you look in specific directions the occlusion planes are missing. This means the game is now trying to render everything you see and everything you don't and adding additional content on top of what was already there doesn't help. Lag spikes are well documented and known "feature" of Bethesda's game engine.
Originally, I had intended to do more work and add more lights around the busier city areas, especially where there were billboards and other signs. That extension of the project was scrapped because the game couldn't handle it. I firmly believe that Bethesda's lack of back end work on their game engine is what produces the majority of issues we experience. Also, probably having 500+ mods added to the game isn't helping either.
You can strap as many modifications onto a 1982 Chevy S-10 pickup you want, but at the end of the day it was never designed to fit 15 passengers and haul a 35 foot travel trailer all while playing God Bless America from a competition rated stereo with a 100 foot American flag mounted on a pole from the bumper.
yes, it does, ignore the prick above me saying it doesnt. or in some way, it absolutely tanks fps. in any urban area, i drop from a stable 60-100 fps down to about 20 with huge lag spikes when looking in certain directions. please, if you are experiencing lag similar to i was and want to eliminate it, then please remove this broken mod from your load order, thank you. i have a load order of ~500, and this was driving me absolutely nuts.
How well does this mod interact with Ultra Exterior Lighting? Do they overlap in alot of changes or do they function differently? Would a patch be required to run them together?
Well I didn't use the mod in game yet but I checked the esp in fo4edit and looks there is some error in it(I use no shadow cast version) Also is it possible for you to make esp flag as ESL version or just ESL?
Edit: l am not sure but I don't think is possible to make it ESL flag since the esp record is more than 2048. I wonder would it be possible for esm
I absolutely love this mod and what it does! Just makes traveling through the city seem more open more anxious as you may see shadows of the roaming ghoul hordes or super mutants.
Now my one and only issue is that it played nicer with Beantown Interiors or the Hunkered down mods as those are my favorite location changes that make the world seem more alive and open. If someone had resources and information on how I could go about making a patch I'd definitely try my level best to make it.
