    FYI: Buffout 4 now fundamentally fixes this at the engine level effectively allowing simultaneous gamepad/KBM input on the fly. A similar mod for SSE also exists.

      Going to add a link in the description. I use Buffout 4 myself, so that is wonderful news it was integrated! I know Skyrim got this recently, and it will work well with the Wooting Two KB I have coming in the mail any day now...

    After looking into this again, I've decided it would be best to just set this as discontinued. The mod won't be taken down or anything like that, I just want to be clear it won't be updated/supported.

    To those with Mouse issues, I tried to make it very clear in the description that this is for Gamepad and Keyboard, not Mouse. My use case was mostly just to allow minor rebinds on the controller, and offer a little more flexibility in that regard. I too ran into issues with Mouse look, and it has something to do with the way mouse/analog-stick inputs are registered and the scale that is applied.

    anyway to fix the mouse from going crazy. and to actually be able to use a (Keyboard and Gamepad Simultaneously) because you cannot walk using left joystick and look around with the mouse. it switches and disables the one or the other.

    Hello all,

    The mod has NOT yet been updated, but I have fixed the folder structure (for real this time) as well as uploading each variant (normal and DPAD-favorites) as separate versions.

    I no longer play shooter type games with controller, which is why I stopped updating this. However, I would like to fix the issues with this where possible. I'll be looking into it soon.

    I've also updated the permissions so anyone is free to update/modify/etc my work and reupload.

    HI uploader. i installed the mod with vortex. and F4SE is also installed on the latest version available of the game. but its just not working... in the description you suggested to: *Delete "ControlMap_Custom.txt" under [Documents > my games > Fallout4] that file is not present.

    i am currently working on a VR mod for Fallout 4. i planning on playing the game in VR. SBS 3D, with a DS4/XBOX controller and Head tracking. all i need from this mod is just mouse movement! when a controller is being used. that will enable the use of (head tracking in VR while using a controller!) and yes i tried the official version of F4 VR. but f***ing Bethesda. disabled the use of a controller pad! forcing the player to use motion controllers. it would be great if you could make a mod that just enables mouse movement with a controller! or at least instruct how to do it myself. thanks.

    I finally got this working only to realize that I cant access workbenches. I see that others have been having this issue for at least 5 years now, so I am wondering, why are other people posting about getting this working in the right directory if its clearly broken? Is there a way to fix this? I don't see any replies about this bug.

    I have rearranged the installable archive by adding the Data\F4SE\Plugins folder and putting the 3 mod files into that as discussed in this thread. Since the mod appears to be abandoned, I will just post a link to the repackaged mod archive I made:

    Please note that I have not changed one iota of the mod's files- just corrected the error in the packaging.

    Download the 7z archive linked above to a convenient spot (Desktop is fine), then drag-n-drop it into Vortex, or import it into NMM using the big green + sign at the top left. I don't use MO2 so I don't know the exact steps required to import a 7z archive file into it, but if you use MO2 you undoubtedly know how to do that.

      Hey I have added the files to \Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins but still cant get my keyboard to work in game (it works to toggle the console and to bring up the Main menu with ESC but that is it). 

      I am not sure if I understand this mod correctly, but correct me if I am wrong, but it is supposed to allow controller and keyboard/mouse input simultaneously yes?

      I would REALLY love to get this working =) Any help is appreciated.

    Hello,

    I uploaded a new version, which puts the files into the correct folder structure.

    No other changes have been made. If you know of specific corrections that can be applied please reply here, and I can update the main release. I no longer play F4 so this mod is semi-abandoned.

      It really needs to be put in mod policy that abandoning the mod is implicit permission for others to take up where one leaves off (as long as they aren't trying to rip off players).
