WTF is the difference between an ESL and an ESP file?!?!?!?!?! If you guys want to share your wonderful talents, why do you speak in nothing but jargon that mentally healthy people don't understand?!?!!?!?!?!
it would be rude to ask to add a pumping station or pump without the financial support of the author. So could you please just add an option Tower that also requires electricity?
Months late, ik, but in case someone's reading this, you can add the electricity requirement property ("PowerRequired") using FO4Edit yourself easily, as shown here.
Useful modding info for sure, but to answer the original poster - dude, the whole point of a water tower is power-by-gravity! You don't pump water to or from there! You collect it from rainfall (though in some rare situations you can have a natural artesian system, or an aqueduct from a hillside stream, or use an archimedean screw, or rope & bucket or a waterwheel powered by man or beast to raise water up to a higher level). To what end? To use gravity to distribute it - gravity is your power source, and taller towers yield better water pressure (hence their height).
That may sound archaic but a lot of modern water & sewerage systems make clever use of such pressure & gravity - your own toilet flush for example. I hope Zorkaz stickies this as there seems to be a bunch of ignorant folk here all pondering the lack of an electrical power hookup.
My current problem with majority of water mods is the water given is a multiple of 10 instead of multiple of 3, that leave a problem with the food/defense balance that is multiple of 3
decoration and furniture expansion pack ..its been around since the first mods were dropped for this game..the tower is in it with a lot more stuff.. like power, furniture , food, landscape etc...
Hello Spent a day re installing mods, and reading this, I'd like to have a look at that, dfep, not finding it on nexus , googles not that helpful , so is it on the bethe site then ? Thx
I had notifications 2 new versions wee released, my version is still 1.0 , so whats new in the 1.1 or other ? Also near the chain that hangs down from arm, is that mean to do anything or just for looks , and I've noticed there's an " active" , that doesn't do anything ? In real life pulling this chain would bring the arm down a release the water in the tower till you leg go of the chain, ...
Very nice mod! Though, why do I see two different water towers in my building menu? (There is two time the exact same water tower, with the same specs, the same building materials, the exact same look, and I don't understand why. (I uninstalled and reinstalled the mod twice to check if it was me or the mod, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.))
The download file has both esl and esp version. After download it, open the file directory, and remove one of them so the mod manager will only deploy the mod 1 time, instead of 2.
@Finlord: ESL files were brought to the scene with the addition of the Creation Club. With thousands of mods already released, it was presumed that a lot of people already would have a load list with close to the maximum allowed plug-ins (255) and they wanted to make sure that the CC content would be bought by adding a new kind of plug-in that is seen as a master (ESM) but doesn't take any space , i.e. doesn't get an index number in the load order. As such, as many mods with an esl as you want can be added without ever going over the limit of 255.
A mod manager like NMM will still show the total on its Mods Tab in red (I have 311 plug-ins listed there) but wil show the "real" plug-ins amount on the Plugins Tab. For me, instead of 311 in red, on that tab, it shows 253 in black...

You gotta change the value shown here.
EDIT: You have to change it for each water tower separately, of course.
I like Zorkaz's... "No electricity required"
Thx
How can I change that?
