Endorsed! I just wanted to say thank you for this. I'm playing with Sim Settlements 2 and my settlers closed off the entrance where the fast travel takes you. And the mat doesn't want to work no matter where I move it. You saved me time and stress.
Endorsed and just wanted to say thanks for sharing this -- annoying as hell to put down a fast travel target, only to spawn outside the west door (which I like to keep locked). Never had trouble in this settlement until my most recent game, so glad someone already had a fix for it :)
Thanks for doing this. I was finally able to put my fast travel marker exactly where I wanted to via this mod and FO4Edit. Endorsed and much appreciated.
I really appreciate this mod. Because of its proximity to Diamond City, Hangman's Alley is always one of the first settlements I get. I generally don't fast travel but sometimes I just get lazy. It has always annoyed me that the FT point was outside the back entrance. Bethesda obviously knew this was a problem or they would have set it inside.
All of my play throughs i use a welcome mat for hangman's alley and i never get a bug and i run with base game no dlcs and i use between 150-300 mods at any given time no bug so it must be either A a bug with a dlc or B a update that doesn't affect me becuz it deals with some dlc or creation club content has to be the cause so and i play with over 1000 different toons and not once have i ever ran into this bug that others are referring to if someone can tell me exactly how they get this bug to spawn i would love to figure out if there's just a code mess up or if it has something to do with a mod or dlc
While searching for a fix myself i have seen people claim that they have had the bug show up even on vanilla FO4.
Someone on reddit said the following: "Its a known defect with conflicting MapMarkerRefTypes at Hangmans so a fast Travel mat wont work. I think a fix is included in the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch"
But i always use the UFO4 Patch and can confirm it does not fix the bug at all. It's a starting point for you to look though if you're interested. Since my current save has the bug im happy to test any potential fixes you come up with.
ok thanks for letting me know i will test a few things out and tell u what comes of it since i think like most people they want to fix something so small and not have a mod that is needed to fix it for them give me a few days and i will get back to u on this subject
Quite often there will be a bug that stops it from working specifically in Hangman's Alley. The bug is unpredictable and nobody knows how to fix it. It will randomly affect a character on creation and you can't get rid of it unless you start a new game. Some people, like me, can't be bothered to spend hours creating new characters and running to Hangman's Alley to test whether we have the bug or not.
I just started a new play through, and " discovered " Hangman's Alley last night. I'll try setting a fast travel marker from the rugs section, and see what happens. I've never experienced that problem.
You don't get Problems with Enemy's now as the Fast travel point in Hangman is even a Spawn point for Enemy's.So close to the wall they spawn inside the Building or in place that are difficult to reach.
