So this preset worked at first with all the mods installed and all the other presets I've downloaded from your profile work. However this one is the one that doesn't work. For some reason when I switch to this preset through the console it causes this weird glitch where the face is visible but the textures from the face out are stretched, distorted and take up the entire screen. Like a kaleidoscope it's just a voice with the face being at the center. Have you ever heard of that happening before and if so is there a remedy?
I'm on mo2, I've installed the files in the f4se scripts folder in the mo2 app and I have tried installing them directly to the games folder, as well as reinstalling and updating every mod this mods reliant on.
Thanks for any help you can offer guys. This preset is good af
Sure here is a few photos, one displays the problem from the character screen, doc crocker specifically because I believed it had something to do with Looksmenu or LMCC, but alas no.
The other seen here:
Is the result from the 3rd person, the character is fully clothed btw and the textures and meshes from the armor and clothing are blending with the skin meshes to make a mess that is all sorts of distorted. thanks for taking the time to respond! Gi problem 3rd person
Holy cow, those are some artistic shots right there, really! O_O But seriously, it looks like a conflict between the Looks menu and other character head related mod. Does the same thing happens with other presets or different hairstyles?
It is actually difficult to determine which it will happen with and which ones will be fine. For example, the preset packs from you as well as some of the other presets I have downloaded work fine but still others will end up looking like the photos and no matter what I do it still causes this bug out of textures.
Honestly I have tried everything from changing the inis, to redownloading the json files, as well as their dependencies and meticulously deactivating and reactivating the mods in my load order related to textures or face models like valkyr faces, oni face parts, and fsm textures but nothing changed the results.
Any ideas you have or even speculation would be greatly helped since I have no idea what else could be causing this.
If it helps this only happened after I switched to MO2 and didnt with Nexus MM.?
What I'm gonna say may sound like bollocks, but I was running older version of Fallout 4 exe (aprox two years old by that time), which beside other things caused newer version of Outfit studio completly crash the whole Nexus mod manager once launched. It might be conflicting versions of the game somewhat loaded within the json file and the game can't read it properly. Have you tried installing Hi-poly heads? Not sure what is the mod called, but it should be from TrophiHunter.
Man I appreciate all the time and support you have offered and you are definitely a great dude. ??
Somehow I was able to fix the problem by removing the high poly faces mod, removing the valkyr texture mod for faces (FSM comes with them anyway so Im not sure if I should download them anyway tbh) and then moving my skin textures to the top of the load order on the left pane of MO2 under CBBE. Then I moved lmcc, loooks menu, AND removed the pip pad mod (that one was especially hard since I LOVE pip pad) then miraculously through the grace of god the face came out as good as it looked in the photo.
No weird infinity glitch or anything this time. It's awesome. Finally resolved the issue but I appreciate the insight you could offer me. I guess Lmcc and Looks menu were competing with something and they weren't happy so I put them at the bottom of the load order and all the dependencies above them now it works.
TLDR; Looks menu and LMCC apparently like the bottom of the load order.
Glad to hear that, but Pip-pad should have no beef with any mentioned mod, so you might wanna reactivate it. The only problem I have is that it applies black lipstick on every loaded up preset, which is no biggie. :)
Yes, in the base game it'll be the same vanilla hair meshes but Bethesda is going to work towards private servers for modding in the future, and when that happens I'll be sure to upload my Fallout 4 mods for 76.
however it worries me that mods like the script extender might not join this time, considering the whole online security thing, it is likely that bethesda limits us to only their tool.
