It would be a great mod if fall damage didnt exist. Almost impossible to slow your descent once you get to a certain high(typically 30 feet up) and i die everytime. If you mainly just fly up to higher objects then its good, but if you use jetpack to jump objects like large fences its an immediate unescapable death as your weak jetpack struggles to stop your plummeting. Even when you slow down almost completely and softly tap the ground for some reason you still die. You basically have to stop descending and begin ascending just briefly before touching ground.
You can get the freefall boots or use the Legendary Effect Overhaul mod and install two Acrobat's legendary effect which gives -50% fall damage each. You take no fall damage.
This by far is the best without any other stuff that's getting in my way, just a working basic lowered ap use of the jetpack. Although I did like the height limit because gravity and all but this is fallout so no hate on the no max height flight. Hopefully any other mods I download would ruin such a useful mod this is
I looked for a mod that will reduce AP cost and add flight time to my non-PA jetpack, and won't send me in outer space at the same time - and yours fits the bill perfectly. Now using a jetpack, PA or other, feels like an actual viable combat tactic, not just a gimmick. Thanks a lot for your work!
What is the difference of this mod with the older Jetpack Overhaul ? Descriptions a pretty much the same. Except Improved Jetpack Flight Model don`t use F4SE. Is it all? But in this case there is a Real working jet pack, which is also don`t need the F4SE and promises the same things.
what are the actual thrust values used in this mod? I'd like to just copy the data into game configuration menu and give you full credit for figuring it out.
I feel like all this does is switch vertical and horizontal speeds. It's cool, but it won't work with any other mod the effects the Jetpack's behavior. Can you, or anyone point me to a way to make it compatable with Jetpack Overhaul? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25851
I think it doesn't need an .esp -file (though it has one) but should work with just .ini tweaks and/or console commands alone. I think someone posted about it, that they didn't download the .esp but just followed the .ini tweaks there.
Fantastic mod! Thank you so much for your time and effort into this! We enjoyed it so much that we included it in our immersive mod review series! We hope the review helps to visually compare your adjusted flight model to the vanilla experience. Here is the link for those interested!
