Hello all! I'm posting the steps below for changing the frequency for Quench Radio so that it does not conflict with DLC and potentially other mods with radios. Note, it is not 100% avoidable as anyone can potentially use the same frequency, but these steps and recommendation should make it somewhat unlikely. Thanks @AstroGazer for confirming it is doable via FO4Edit which means users will not need to fire up the CK, although that is viable as well.

The following steps assume you have already downloaded/installed FO4Edit and know how to use its basic functions.

    • Open Fo4Edit
    • When the list of ESMs/ESPs appears, Right-Click and hit "Select None"
    • Thumb through the list and check the box for DrQuenchSodaCompany.esp
    • [Optional] Select any additional ESPs with radio stations; masters for any ESPs you select will also automatically be selected.
    • Click "OK" and wait for FO4Edit to finish loading
    • On the left, expand the following branches: DrQuenchSodaCompany > Worldspace > 0000003C > 0018AA2 Cell > Persistent and click 0200D29C
    • On the right, scroll down and find XRDO - Radio and expand it so that you see Frequency
    • Double click the value/number entered to the right of it. If prompted, click Yes, I am Absolutely Sure
    • In the field for the Frequency, enter in 94.021599 and hit Enter
    • Save your change by hitting CTRL+S; be sure to check the box for "Backup ESPs" when saving
If you followed the optional step and want to use your own frequency number for the radio, thumb through the other ESPs to make sure whatever you choose does not conflict with the frequency of other stations.

Do you plan on adding a buildable settlement radio for your radio station? Would be really cool!

i looked a bit through the comments (and I hope i didn't just miss this), but i cant find the radio station in game. I dont have many radio mods installed (I think maybe one?) and i cant seem to figure out how to get the esp file to show up in FO4edit (i use Mod Organizer, still clueless anfter attempting to use FO4edit). I know i have the mod enabled, but unless it's the greyed out "Private Frequency" i dont know why it won't show up!

(also, that private station just shows static)

    Please help!!

edit: i saw one other guy had the problem, but i guess i'm just more asking for help changing the frequency? I am 100% uneducated on FO4edit, and it doesnt show any mods when i load it up... just the game and dlc. if you can help me, it would be very much appreciated!!!

edit2: i was able to figure it out. for anyone who was clueless like me, i first listed FO4edit as an executeable in Mod Organizer 2, then ran it thru that. since it went thru MO2 (which has all/most of my mods), it was able to locate and load them. i then just followed the pinned post on this mod page that explains how to change the frequency, and POOF! the radio now shows up in game! (also private frequency is still there, but who knows what that's for?)

TLDR: the radio station didnt show up in game AT ALL until i changed the frequency by running FO4Edit thru MO2 and following the pinned steps in the posts section of this page. all is well now, thanks!

If you have GOTY version, one of the DLC stations will conflict. I do not use MO2, so I am happy you figured it out.

    **Important and Pertinenet..
NOwheres on the description nor anywherz in the posts is ANYbody talking about:

    1) Can settlers, and WILL settlers use and consume these drinks if they are left lying around shelves?

    2) Can Settlers, and WILL settlers  craft these drinks for themselves at a cooking statioin?

    2) OR are these drinks EXCLUSIVELY for the player? to use and make and consume?

Animations in FO4 for NPCs spawn items (brooms, bowls, newspapers, etc) when going into idle animations. I didn't touch animations, so no, these will not show in random idle animations. Same goes for crafting. Items are linked via scripts and keywords, keywords and scripts this mod does not touch. That said, you can just give the drink to a settler. Will they use it? Probably not.

Love the Quench, but with the Heather Casdin companion installed, her transmission and your radio seem to conflict. Where do I find the station frequency in the CK/xEdit so I can change hers?

Edit: Sorry, Dr. Quench. I know they didn't go to seven years of medical school to just be called Quench. My apologies.

It's been awhile since I checked the files for the structure of the mod; I do remember that you'll need to edit the radio transmitter reference and simply raise the station number.

Go to the RadioData tab and set the Radio Station number to something higher than what it is; I'm not entirely sure how this works, but setting it to a high number should avoid conflicts with existing radio stations. Click okay to save. You should be able to find any item pertaining to the mod by searching the CK for "Quench"

Thanks for this. For what it's worth, I was correct that Heather was the conflict. I uninstalled her (great mod, but not the right companion for this playthrough) and your station came through loud and clear. Loving it!

I know how that goes. I absolutely adore The Machine and Her (can hardly wait for the sequel!), but Kit and a Depravity run bode ill together...

If this works for sure, let me know. Can add to Description so people have another fix outside of firing up CK

      @rawchampion
I use Fo4edit all the time to check frequencies and change them to frequency not being used and it works.
(If I recall there were 2 that use script insertion which is more complex to change and was error prone, but most all use above.)

Which station or mod rather is it conflicting with? If you have radio mods that have an abundance of stations in place (as well as DLC), you'll have to move that station number. Easy way to do this would be to open up only the Radio Station mods in FO4Edit and see what the stations number are and then adjust it to an unused station.

I also found that you have a radio problem, your radio would overlap, and other people's radio station affects other radio mod operation,

There is not a problem with the radio; you have a mod conflict. What Radio mods are you using?
