Added reload script in 1st person, if you have any questions regarding the script ask shavkacagarikia, no 3rd person until it works properly. Also the dry reload is not correct and there is not much I can do about it, the game skips the pumping animation after the last round is fired.
If someone wants to port it to console, feel free to do so!
If you're like me, it's because it relies on the Far Harbor DLC which I don't have and didn't realize I needed. If you look in the mod description, the author didn't add the DLC as a requirement which is a little disappointing because now, I can't commit war crimes with the OG war crime stick.
Is anyone else finding an overabundance of this weapon at lower levels on gunners? I wandered over to vault 75 at level 8 and every gunner has either this gun or is melee.
I am! This weapon, as well as the Mauser Family and the Grease Gun seem to spawn like absolute wildfire. I'm lv 25 and 90% of gunners carry one of these three weapons. I wish there was a patch or fix for this.
Seems there are no NPC shooting sounds as I keep hearing it as loud as if I was shooting it when someone else does. Anyone know how to edit it in fo4 edit to solve this issue?
edit: I fixed it myself by clicking on "win1897SemiNPC" under the Sound Keyword Mapping tab of the mod, and changing the DNAM from WPNwin1897FireSemiPlayer to WPNShotgunAFire.
NOTICE: There are a couple other issues, like a few attachments not producing the correct or any misc item, and 'bayonet' is misspelled in one instance. I've fixed it in my own installation, and also renamed the gun to 'Trench Gun'. Lemme know if anyone is interested in an unofficial patch- and feel free share any other changes you might want to see.
Unfortunately, I have since deleted the mod because throwing the last grenade in my inventory while having the shotgun equipped made my favorites menu disappear, and the only solution was to reload a save or uninstall mid-playthrough. I can say that CSEP's Vintage Shotgun - Winchester 1897 is very similar, but better integrated into the game, with more attachments and a few uniques.
If you're still interested, I found the plugin replacer file saved on my PC, and I'll upload it on google drive for you if you want. But because it's an edited version of a deleted user's BCR Patch for the M1897, it would require the assets from that mod and BCR to work.
