Mr. Tidy "undertaker bot" that scurries around removing dead things from a Settlement.
• The main download is for the .ESP file; an .ESL version is also available. Install one or the other, not both.
• Create a new saved game before tidying a settlement -- one that you can return to if there are issues.
• This is a mod for removing dead things, but which also automatically collects items for you from those dead things. It is not intended to be just a looting mod. So players who do not desire dead things to be removed (perhaps because of the behavior of some other mod) should simply not use Mr Tidy.
• This is not intended to be a general-purpose item collection mod -- only dead things and their personal belongings are collected.
• This is not a "scrapping" mod, so the things that are acquired by Mr Tidy and placed inside his chest are just the items that corpses normally contain (and you would see if you looted their inventory items yourself). Which means skeletons are not scrapped into bones, and bodies are not scrapped into fertilizer -- they simply disappear.
• See the Description page for a list of My Other Mods in this "Settlement" series.
WARNING: Be sure to review the Known Conflicts section on the Description page.
If you use Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) to install mods and patches, go get the newest version found Here.
Notes for this release: • Before Installing: create a saved game that you can fall back to if problems arise. • "Stray / Loose" weapons are now detected and collected if not a Quest objective. • With Auto-Scan or Battle Mode: immediate rescan whenever corpses are tidied away (useful for ongoing fights). • With Auto-Scan or Battle Mode: living things within scan range are tracked with their deaths initiating rescans. • Battle Mode can optionally be Enabled to have Mr Tidy be more responsive if fights are very frequent or tend to be lengthy with a great many casualties -- provides its own faster automatic rescanning regardless of the setting for Auto-Scan. This applies to the specific Mr Tidy (not all of them). • See the updated Description page for additional information.
Usage Suggestions: • One-time tidying or very infrequent tidying in all settlements: Auto-Scan Disabled, Battle Mode Disabled • Occasional automatic tidying in all settlements: Auto-Scan Enabled, Battle Mode Disabled • Frequent automatic tidying in specific settlements: Auto-Scan <any>, Battle Mode Enabled
Please report issues and feel free to ask questions for discussion.
Enable/Disable Stray Weapon Collection: Allows Mr Tidy to collect weapons that were not dropped by dying NPCs, are not inside containers, and are not a Quest objective. Disabled is the default. Applies to that Mr Tidy robot only (not all of them). Keep this Disabled for a settlement with one or more weapon racks.
Can settlers pull loot from his box for gear upgrades like they do from corpses and open displays? it's something I want so that over time my settlers will slowly upgrade from dead enemies?
That gunner should had a nice gun, be a shame if Preston nabbed his plasma rifle and armor while I was out and about
Now that's an interesting thought! I do not yet have Starfield. So no clue if there are modding tools, or has situations which would spark my interest to create a mod for that game. I guess I should give it a looksee.
[ I've been "away" modding Cyberpunk 2077 for the past several months ]
Basically there is no CK yet. But you can already create mods using xEdit and some tools. Here is a nice mod from SKK to decompile the code in the base files from the game.
Here you go: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/3921
There is also a nice tutorial video from CrEaToXx which explains how to use it. I am considering doing some modding there. But I should first fix mine here in FO4. My mod got me burntout.

I have made Settlement Menu Manager Patches (SMM) for a lot of settlement mods so they have their own menus in the workshop. Someone has requested that I make patches for your settlement bot mods. Would you mind if I made patches for them?
Did I miss something or is the bot not available for Vault 88 ? I can build it no problem in an overworld settlement, but it's missing in the Miscalleneous section in the Vault itsef.
Hi, might be a dumb question but if you set it to stay in settlment boundaries, does it have a max range still? vault 88 is gigantic and i'm afraid he won't go to the bottom of it amazing mod btw
Very handy, thank you. I've got Gunners attacking a settlement EVERY DAY (probably because of where I'm at in the story of Sim Settlements 2), I was sick of seeing sixty corpses littering the streets of Sanctuary, and throwing them in the river was taking too long.
as individual user this is an easy task, but since we cant automate the progress for users of a collection i am asking if you would upload it with loose files so we can add that version to the collection instead.
thank you for the consideration and providing the link for the individual user to use :)

Keep this Disabled for a settlement with one or more weapon racks. Now safe to use Stray Weapon Collection in settlements containing weapon racks.
Fix to ignore Disabled things lurking in ambush or simply not yet activated.

I always loved your bots and I was wondering if you considered porting some of them to Starfield.
Cheers,
OldBard.

amazing mod btw
Endorsed.
1. Does this mod contribute to file size bloat in any way when it harvests dead bodies?
2. I'm curious why this type of functionality could not be rolled into the scavanging station? API/engine limitations, I assume.
2 ) My preference is different robot mods for different purposes.
Would it be possible to ask for an ESL flagged esp version with loose files?
This would hit just the right spot of perfection.
