Not a bad preset at all, but I do have a few suggestions as to how you could improve it:
- Scale down some of the UI elements some more. The needs bars seems excessively large, as do the ammo and grenade counters. The compass could also benefit from a slight downscaling, too. - The centralized placement of the container box seems incredibly odd to me, and looks as though it'd get in the way more than it'd help (I attempted this with my own preset once and didn't like it). - The crosshair seems overly large, at least to me.
Most of these issues are based solely on preference though, and I think it'd be quite handy to those who play from a distance (like on their couch) in it's current form. The layout is quite nice though, and I aprreciate how you've tried to keep elements that are relevant to each-other in their own little corners.
I originally had the container box in a different spot, but I'm playing a very large screen, so it wasn't immediately viewable with my terrible peripheral vision, so I moved it.
Honestly this preset was just made for myself, but I thought I'd share for kicks.
And originally, all of the UI elements were scaled to 60% or less (they are at 80% here), but they were too small for my horrible eyes to see, even on my big screen. Again, I really just made this for myself.
The crosshair.... as you probably guessed, is that large because of my bad eyes! lmao! Kind of a recurring theme here. Sadly, I have glasses even! But I have to get them replaced every 12 months with a stronger prescription.
I have a non-cancerous tumor in my brain that is messing up my vision and causing it to rapidly decline. I'm just happy I can still hit the rad roaches instead of Codsworth by accident! lol!
Thanks for your input though, I appreciate it. And I don't know if you saw my permissions section, but I do freely permit anyone to do absolutely anything with this preset, so feel free to edit it to your liking and re-upload. No need for credit. Just a simple preset.
I'd gladly make a 21:9 version if someone can show me how.
My only worry is that in order to make a 21:9 version, I will have to set my own resolution to 21:9, which my monitor can't support. I think it would get a bit crispy if I did that!
However, if anyone would like to make 21:9 version, you're more than welcome! Check out my file permissions page, I think you'll like it. I just generally allow anyone to do anything with this mod, because I believe it's ridiculous to put limits on having fun!
