Goes to show how much there is in the game and we who mod it I'm sure really get lost in the content. At this point it's almost like Skyrim and the other 2 Elder Scrolls games, as well as the Fallout games may each rival MMOs like WOW in content big and small I dear say especially Skyrim and Fallout 4, it's amazing, yes I know WOW is huge but you can't build towns ( at least not that I heard of lol).
So after so many attempt, but still no pie, I decided to decompile the port-a-diner script. Well. The chance of getting a pie is tied to the Luck perk, and my level 85 char only has 1 Luck, lol. Anyway, I discovered that the formula for pie is:
A random number is picked between 1 and 1000. If that number is LESS THAN (2 x Luck + attempts/2) you will get the pie.
In other words, if you have Luck = 1 your chance is 1/500 for your first attempt. This chance increases by 0.5 for every subsequent attempt. So it could take up to 1000 attempts to guarantee you get the pie. If you have Luck = 10, the chance begins at 1/50, but it could take up to 100 attempts to guarantee you get the pie!
My suggestion would be making that pie a kind of reverse molerat disease or giving a hidden magazine perk to it.
Like, every pie you manage to get gives you +10 permanent health.
It's not too much that it breakes the game, and it's still god damn hard to get all those pies, but they become worth it.
Also, it kind of make some sense since something that survived for 200+ years got to have some really really strong substances to keep it intact, like, mutated pie piece kind of pie.
I too support perfectly preserved perk-producing pie! Ingame, I took one look at the thing, remembered how Portal turned out, and decided no. Just no.
I do recall a perk in fallout 3 where one could trigger "nuclear anomalies"? I seem to recall the player nuke-exploding when their health went too low. I likewise recall a mod someone made where eating Mississippi Quantum Pie was made to manually trigger such an anomaly.
If I was gonna add a custom perk to this dang pie, I'd want to make it a less-cartoonish nod to that. Anything that hasn't rotted after that long is probably dangerous, radioactive, a ghoul, or all three.
I didn't realise it was possible to get those pies. Every time I tried, the claw wouldn't fully grab the plate. Perhaps rather than beef up the pie's healing properties, give the player a little xp for their efforts. Better still, multiply the xp gain by the number of tries it took to get the pie It will probably need some scripting to make that idea work though.
Pie makes people happy. Why not add 100% happiness for x hours at your settlement if you give it to a settler. Sugar Rush - 100% recharge VATS for one hour?

Here's the deal. I honestly don't care about this mod. It took me 30 seconds in FO4edit. Anyone could make this way better, it's really not that hard.
1. Launch FO4edit. Only load the base game.
2. Open the Ingestible category
3. Find the Perfectly Preserved Pie
4. Right-click it and select "Copy As Override..."
5. Name your mod
6. Edit the values/keywords for the pie in the new mod as you see fit
Boom. You now have the pie of your dreams.
I thought it was like just a comedic jest from Bethesda
I completely turned over to fallout 4

Thank you alot for helping me with my obsession.

We need a mod that increases the chance of pie.
