I'll look into it. But, TBH, since I no longer use Horizon myself, I might drop the patch alltogether, if I can't figure out how to fix this by just looking at the files in xEdit
Greetings all. I'm having an issue utilizing this mod and hopeful someone here can assist. I'm using the ESL version of OWM and have both DLCs and AWKCR options selected. I do have SMM installed as well. When I open my crafting menu I only have three options, Armor Bench, Chem Station, Power Armor Station. I know at least one of these is from Eli's Armor Compendium.
OWM is loaded after AWKCR in my load order and the plugins for OWN are at the bottom of my load order. I've tried uninstalling both OWM and SMM and reinstalling, restarting Vortex, ensuring all files are enabled, but I'm still just not seeing any type of categorization. I'm wondering if this isn't an SMM issue.
Any tips, suggestions, assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'd really LOVE to clean up those AWKCR benches that get in the way and further confuse things. Thanks in advance.
DOH! I completely forgot that option was available. Having never had a need to use it, it slipped my mind. I will test that today and report back. Thank you for this reminder.
*Confirmed, using the rescue option from the SMM holotape indeed adds a new workbench category at the end of the settlement menu, presumably where it should be. All benches were organized according to type and the DLCs I selected.
Thank you again for the help, the suggestion was spot on!
I really like this idea, but wonder if some tweaking could be done? Rather than add another workbenches category at the end of the main crafting menu, would it be possible to add sub-catagories to the crafting menu? Something like this:
Crafting Menu All vanilla benches AWKCR category All AWKCR benches Horizon category All Horizon benches
The original crafting menu has to be replaced, there is no way around that. As for injecting it somewhere not at the end, this isn't something SMM supports. I GUESS it could be maybe done with some scripting, but might be dangerous..
But besides that, you want to sort the benches by mod first, then by type? Should be doable, I could give it a shot one day, but can't guarantee anything.
I am having trouble moving the workbenches from Busy Settlers (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7010) using your script. I have tried both the ESL and ESP version of your mod and neither seem to recognize the workbenches. In Busy Settlers the workbenches are in Resources>Misc and I have included a screenshot of them within FO4Edit.
Spoiler:

My procedure for FO4Edit is to load Busy Settlers and OWM-Master. I then right-click Busy Settlers>Apply Script>Organize Workbench. When the next screen pops up I select <new file> and give the file a name. Then the script runs, that new file appears in FO4Edit - but it has no records.
Is there some naming convention that Busy Settlers needs to follow in order for your script to locate these workbenches? Or am I doing something wrong?
Those aren't real workbenches. They're NPC-only and don't actually function as benches but as workstations. You could still put them inside this mod's submenus if you're really adamant about it, but it would only serve to clutter them with unusable benches, and you'd probably have to do it manually.
Great mod, very handy, helps keep that workbench menu less crowded. But I have a question:
1) The original mod offers and esp and esl version - but on your scripts description page you say:
"Unless you only ever want to process .esm or .esl files, you should definitely use the .esp version of OWM-Master. It can be found under optional files on the mod's page."
So, naturally there are mods that are eps's which have workbenches I'd like to organize, does that mean I should only use the esp version? Does the esp version work on ESM and ESL files?
Thanks for your time and thanks again for the mod, it's great!
Something weird is going on that I cannot figure out: I am getting all workbenches show up categorically EXCEPT for the vanilla Armor and Weapons ones. I have tried the menu rescue from SMM but still nothing. Any ideas? Using the esl file.
Are the workbench categories for armorsmith and weaponsmith supposed to have "compact" in their names?
Also, just a suggestion form a personal change I made for my own game, I combined several benches into "Robots and Tech", including the robot workbench, utility, advanced engineer, and electronics. Otherwise, one ends up with a bunch of one-item menus.
No, the script just grabs the name of the first workbench of the type it encounters. Is it like that in the included AWKCR patch, or in one you generated by yourself?
Thank you SO much for this mod! With AWKCR installed it adds in so many crafting stations that the crafting menu can take forever to navigate and load everything in. This makes things so much quicker.

Crafting Menu
All vanilla benches
AWKCR category
All AWKCR benches
Horizon category
All Horizon benches
etc?

Also I have a cooking pot from Better Cooking Stations that will not move even though it has the correct keyword.
