Hi there, it won't show them no, because you can't enable / disable them in the same way as the packaged files. I'd probably use Vortex in that case unless you have a reason not to.
Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The script extender doesn't go in the data folder, it goes in the same folder as Fallout4.exe or Fallout4VR.exe (depending on the game).
Not sure what FRIK is - this mod manager should generally be compatible with everything.
I did NOT pirate the game, I bought a steam key and activated it, and yet:
09/05/22 16:03:13: Information: Narod's Fallout 4 VR Mod Manager (V1.5.8.3) is initialising... 09/05/22 16:03:13: Information: No SpaceSaver installation detected. 09/05/22 16:03:13: Information: OK version of Windows 10 detected (2009) 09/05/22 16:03:13: Warning: Updating error message provided, is game updating or pirated copy detected? 09/05/22 16:03:17: Information: Mod Manager is closing. 09/05/22 16:03:17: Information: Fallout 4 is not installed or path not selected, SpaceSaver will not be available. 09/05/22 16:03:17: Information: Narod's Fallout 4 VR SpaceSaver V1.1.0.0 detected!
Edit: I reinstalled the game and now it's working. Not sure what went wrong at first.
The error can also occur if the game is updating (or needs to update), if that wasn't the case either then that's a very odd error to get in that case.
Program keeps ctd after i run it, no error message or anything. only thing that ever popped up was something about an auto update. here is part of the error log (excluding the notes and other such stuff)

Hi, thanks for reporting the bug. I've done some extra testing and believe this should now be fixed in the new version I have uploaded (V1.5.7.5). Cheers.
appreciate it, works now also according to the change log it says "- Changed crash handler to overwrite previous crashes stored in log." imo it might be better to have it not overwrite, but create a new crash log, that way if other issues pop up the previous ones are stored too.
The tool has trouble remembering where my games are. I go to settings to try to create my own .ini file and it just asks for the directories. Once its finished the tool closes. I repoen and try again, it asks again. Ive got my games installed on my "H:/" drive
That's odd to hear, do you have a crash_log.txt file by any chance? I've found some oddities with the settings / SpaceSaver recently so will be making an update to address it when I can.
Hello, I am sorry for both the delay in replying to you and for this functionality. Whilst it is an opt-in/opt-out box in the First Time Setup, I can see that it would be better to keep a copy of the .ini file as it was before-hand, which is now what the mod manager aims to do, from V1.5.6.0 and above.
Strange. Are you using the latest version (V1.4.0.1 (Windows 7 and above, 64-bit), or V1.3.3.0 (Vista, 32-bit))? Tell me which version of it you have.
Alternatively, you may just have to browse to it. Whilst the mod manager does it's best to find your installation, it doesn't always work for one reason or another.
It locks up and doesn't allow me to find the game. I get a error message sating Your Fallout 4 VR Directory is invalid or corrupted. It is saved in the steam folder which is an drive D not C. Than when I hit ok it locks or disappears.
I have Windows 10 I7-4770 CPU 3.4ghz, 32gb mem, 64 bit system. Version 1803 Home addition with 4.7.2 framework.
Interesting, on both versions I tested the browse function works, and it's also pretty strange the automatic detection didn't work. It shouldn't matter that it's on a different hard drive, my game is too and it appears to work well. Things to check: 1) Is Steam registering Fallout 4 VR properly, does it show up and have a play button visible. 2) Try running the mod manager with admin rights, it may need them for the 1st time setup depending on your setup.
If neither of those work, tell me the exact error message, I have a list of what each error message means and I should be able to guide you better that way.
It says Critical error Your Fallout 4 VR Directory is Invalid or Corrupted. Then a window opens up showing finding but doesn't load completely and shuts down.
Thank you for the video! It helped a lot in narrowing down the bug.
I reproduced the issue on my system and I've fixed it in the latest V1.4.1.0 release. It should now guide you through the setup process where the directory will hopefully be set up correctly this time.
Hello, apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
This was long fixed. You'll need to select "Browse" on the first time setup window when this error message comes up, and then browse to the folder the game is installed at. Once you're in the folder, you just select the Fallout4VR.exe file and then it should work.
If you are talking about a message appearing elsewhere, let me know so I can assist.
Hey, im having this issue now too, it wont let me change the location from the c drive to the e drive, the only button is accept and i can not manually update it in the textbox
@BishopWenner - apologies for the delay in getting back to you. This has been changed in V1.5.5.1 (the latest version), a browse option will now always been available.
Sadly spotted a bug too late with the update checker. It may fail on some systems and say that you need to revert to manually updating. The latest version still features this bug, so it will affect the next update too. I'm working on a fix that will arrive in the next release.
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. There is no installation, you simply download the .zip file, extract the files inside, and open the .exe file.
hey, its not working at all for me, it just crashes straight away, i have a legit copy of the game and have tried running as admin and made sure im running the latest networks version, can you help? Here's Crash Report

Where do i put script extender? it doesnt show in the mod list. does FRIK work with th mod manager?
Not sure what FRIK is - this mod manager should generally be compatible with everything.
FRIK is this: FRIK - Full Player Body with IK at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)
i actually havent got any of the mods working yet and vortex won't cooperate with the game at all.
modding can be tricky sometimes!
It should work fine, so long as you have setup Archive Invalidation and are running the F4SE executable (rather than the normal Fallout4VR.exe).
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/3831 - article on archive invalidation, just following instead for Fallout4VR rather than Fallout4.
These changes are automatically made to your Fallout4Custom.ini for Fallout 4 VR if you checked the ini change box in the mod manager.
I'll look in to adding a button to open F4SE directly from the mod manager.
