The mod has been completely redesigned to be more performant, stable, and user-friendly. Papyrus scripts are no longer used as the entire face regeneration process is now done through a DLL library whose options are fully configurable through a configuration file (more details on the description page).
Also, you can now manually correct the player or an NPC's face using the console :
Open the console using the tilde key (~)
Click on the actor whose face you want to regenerate.
This mod doesn't work for me but I found solution which work for me this solution could be working for others. Step needed fo this solution: 1.Know your face resolution and have everything for face/body in same resolution. 2. Install BSA browser BSA Browser with ba2 support and install which version you prefer then unpack Fallout4 - Textures1.ba2 and Fallout4 - Textures4.ba2(button in bsa browser: extract with folders) in same folder on desktop or other place except installation location of fo4. 3 In unpacked files look for folders which name is TintMasks files in this folder need to be resize for face resolution you using 4. Download FO4 Texture Resizer and use it for resizing files in folder TintMasks how to use this program is in sticky post(step 8 in this guide for resizer you click old resolutoin and next to old resolution you set which resolution you are going to resize(new resolution) ). 5. Download this mod DeLuxe Makeup and install this mod at the bottom of your load order(after every texture mod ) and put resized files in this mod in folder TintMasks of this mod and if ask for replacing files click yes. And you shouldn't have rusty face bug in your game
Don't install the 2.0.2 version got a fatal error when I tried loading a save tried removing it from vortex wouldn't let me then tried force deleting the dll file now I can't remove the mod
According to the Faces of the Commonwealth author, those two mods aren't playing nice together and causing crashes. Any chance we get a patch for them?
downloading this mod now in all honesty i don't know why it keeps happening i mostly play in first person but i i switch to 3rd person from time to time i don't even have any face mod that affects male player i have cbbe but i was using a male charac and i don't have a texture mod that interfere with it i hope this work
Before installing the mod, I often had rusty faces on NPCs, but never ever on PCs (it seemed like the game was always prioritizing loading PC's textures no matter what - i.e. no matter whatever was breaking around PC, the PC itself was always working).
After installing the mod, it seems that PC is now treated somewhat as an NPC too - and can get rusty face after loading a save game. On a flip side - I now actually can fix rusty faces for everyone, so this is not that big of a deal, I guess. But I still wonder if the mod changes some logic for loading textures somehow.
Either way, trading unfixable ugly faces on NPCs for the need of an occasional rff on PC is a good deal to me.
here's OP on this mod. not saying it's bad or anything just what i have encountered. New game head to the vault platform and everybody there has a brown face. Great no need to continue. exit came clear saves disable mod. start a new game head to platform nobody has a brown face.for what ever reason it causes more brown face bug on my end. there's something not rite there.
Where is the list that contains the ref codes for our companions? I would like to look at it see who is on the list. This mod works about 1/2 the time and when it works 1/2 my companions still have black face. I run with six companions, no problems except this black/brown face bug. I have no face mods except; Looks Menu & CBBE. Thanks for your effort to end this nightmare!!!
