apparently you do, as it wont run without every single one installed. the mod author must've accidentally put the entire list of compatible mods in the mod itself as a dependency and as such wont enable at all. the total size of all of the mods is several gigs. the main dependencies aren't that short. the whole list is needed.

I completely agree. I was going to try this modlist but I refuse to put ANY scrap mods in my game, save Raze My Settlement and Clean My Settlement. Whisper [also known as bionicyardiff] is a very good MA and knows not to break stuffs.
And also, this hasn't been updated in over 3 years, so there's that, too.
Not all ESPs can be converted. Wrye BASH is the best/easiest way to add ESL flags to ESP files, but even it can't do all ESPs because some mod authors mess up their ESP headers because they don't know what they are doing. A smaller percentage just have to do something in the ESP that isn't supported in an ESL. My load order only has 1/3 of the mods in ESP format, I have converted the rest to have ESL flags. I'm at 432 mods right now.
