hey so im not sure why but the handmade scopes see through scope just goes full grey screen. I assumed at first it was my funky FOV setup so i tried it across vanilla and many other FOV's but it still produced the same result. does your see through scope work differently to the existing see through scope framework mod. was it ur own attempt or did u follow its guide? cause I can't seem to figure out exactly what is causing the problem.
With this you could literally replace every rifle in the game - except the Lever (not that I'd want to replace the Lever anyway). Pipe Bolt-Action and Hunting Rifle - with just the Bolt-Action variant (i'd make the Pipe a 22LR trainer and a .30-03 upgrade). Combat Rifle and Radium Rifle - with the Semi-Auto variant (i.e. a full caliber .30-06 in semi). Who needs a FAL, G3 or M14? Assault Rifle and Handmade Rifle - with the Pedersen conversion kit (i.e. a 7.62x20mm in semi). Who needs stinkin M16 or AK? The 1st and 3rd being switchable with something like Weapons Framework Beta.
The only thing that is out of place is this isn't actually a Pedersen, as it just uses bottom feed magazine, where the Pedersen was top feed at a 45 degree angle. I can live with that inaccuracy as that would take insane animation skills, the functionality otherwise is the same - replace bolt with Pedersen and let 'er rip.
I think there should be an option to remove the sling. It looks good most of the time but with holstered weapon mods and the lack of physics in the weapon model system, it just looks off. Maybe some recon scope options would help too. Great mod though, not trynna sound snooty.
Agree with the sling. That should be an attachment, you either mount it or you don't. Just make the sling attachment points prominent on the weapon to suggest you could attach one if you wanted to. In fact you could put a negative carry weight modifier on the non-sling version, since lugging around a 9lb rifle all day would tire you out quick...... Don't get me started on the 20lb "Can Opener".....
Disagree with the recon scopes. This is a classic, meant to be played as a classic - not a tacticool weapon. In fact I make a patch which removes all of the tacticool stuff from this (suppressors, marksman stock, etc). The Pedersen 20 Rd semi-automatic is about as tacticool as I'd ever want to get with this. You don't need an M14 if you rock that, it's the "M16" of the classic age.
Sadly, I remove that too, because then it makes the M1 Carbine irrelevant - and you just can't have "classic" without "PING!".
The sound of this just makes you want to fire it more, even if you don't need to. I haven't found a better sounding rifle shot from a mod, and I've tested most of them on the Nexus. Sure, it sounds out of place in a building, but then again you shouldn't be shooting it in there anyway......
