AS STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION: This mod is not fully compatible with any Diamond City mods, except for mods that edit ONLY the interior of Home Plate, as I haven't touched it. I have heavily edited the interior Diamond City and the exterior. I don’t use any and haven’t used any Diamond City mods. You’re going to have to test it for yourself if you’re that set on using two together, however I am not going to be answering any more questions about compatibility because I’m not downloading and installing an array of different mods just to see, sorry. It is safer for me to say there's no compatibility, than for me to say yes and ya'll stuff up your games.
Also come on, guys, there’s no need to tell me you’d rather use someone else’s Diamond City mod. I’m not forcing you to use this, and you don’t have to be passive aggressive, lol. It’s your game, use whatever mods you like - just don’t be a jerk about it :)
The mod is on XBOX1- now it’s all in one so you only need one ESP! :) get it here: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4051885
I have kept the mods up to date with the releases here - the numbers are different because I did an update for PC before uploading for console, but please be assured that you have the exact same version as PC users as I upload them at the same time when I do an update :)
Regarding frame rate drops - I don’t suffer any lack of performance and my game doesn’t lag or stutter when running this mod. I’m running no settlement mods. I’m running F4SE. I’m also running NAC and Chalk Outline ENB. I have a medium range computer that was probably top of the range 6 years ago. Considering the majority of people can run this mod without issue, if you are getting a ridiculous frame rate drop, it’s either going to be because of: - Your PC’s performance - A mod conflict - you’re running too many mods - A mixture of two or all of the above Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about this for you, especially if it is your PC.
I was comparing this mod to some others to check for conflicts and cleaning purposes in xEdit, and noticed a few things. It contains 24 deleted navmeshes, and appears to slightly conflict with Hangman's Alley mods and mods which edit the street approaching Diamond City. The latter is a minor issue.
I cleaned the ESP in FO4Edit, so I’m not sure why that’s coming up. I’ll clean it again, I guess. Not sure why it would conflict with Hangman’s Alley mods, and yes, I edited the street approaching Diamond City, so that would conflict with other mods that edit the same place. I can’t do much about mod conflicts, unfortunately.
can confirm that navmeshes are missing, neither Dogmeat nor Valentine or piper walks anywhere, they just stand around, and I have no other mods that would conflict with this.
I can confirm this too. I realize I was introducing a previs bug myself earlier, but with this mod loaded last Piper stands outside and the thing where the brother goes to shoot the other brother, people just stand there forever because the guard never approaches (which is an easy, reproducible test).
I can reliably reproduce this bug only with this mod installed. I do not have anything else that touches the Diamond City worldspace. :( I can also confirm the deleted navmeshes in FO4edit. Tutorial on how to fix them
I can confirm this. This is the only mod I have that modifies Diamond City and there are issues with the navmeshes that cause certain scenes to not work. Piper is not there when arriving the first time to the gate. The Dialogue of the intercom starts and then stops, and is not possible to enter into Diamond City.
Love the mod, Diamond City looks awesome now. Thanks for all the hard work you put in. I am having a strange issue with the dug out inn - the walls and floor keep flashing. Looks the same as when I put two different floors down in the same place in a settlement (using place anywhere). Has anybody else had this? I had a search through the first few pages of the posts here, but didn't see anybody else reporting it.
Here are two examples. By comparing the two you can see how the lower part of the wall is changing texture and the same with the floor. It only happens in the dugout inn for me (mainly just the floor, but some parts of the walls). Hope the dropbox links are okay - I don't have any experience with posting images on this forum.
This is the perfect Diamond City mod, BUT I had to disable it when trying to go to Kellogg's house with Nick. Nick just stood there outside his office, did his whole monologue, and then refused to go anywhere. Seemed to mess with his pathway for that one part.
Hey Shep, I'm sorry if you've already answered this somewhere but i think me not having the time to sift through 11 pages of masses of text is justifiable lol. Anyway i was just wondering where you'd recommend this mod to be in my load order? just because this is my third or fourth time reinstalling this mod as a result of old mesh collisions ( floors of the taphouse, filing cabinets at the public etc). Another question which you don't have to answer - but have you ever used the lootable crates mod and do you think it would cause problems with this mod? (all it does is it adds lootable crates with scrap inside over the vanilla crates, just asking because i read a comment somewhere about editing of the Diamond Cities outer streets potentially causing conflicts/problems). Sorry for the big message - hope you're well :-)
Hey there! I’d recommend placing it above any mods that edit Diamond City or the surrounding area. I don’t use many mods that aren’t aesthetic mods (hair, textures, clothes and accessories etc), so I can’t give a definitive answer on the lootable crates question :(
Patch 3.2 is up. You must have 3.1 installed first, then install 3.2 and click yes to overwrite. This patch hopefully fixes the issue that some people had with feet clipping through the floor near Valentine's office. I didn't have that issue in my own game, but I have taken screens with the 3.2 patch installed to show that the feet do not clip through the floor. The only time they clip slightly is when characters walk up to a higher part of the flooring. If feet are still clipping, there is literally nothing I can do because it's not a problem with the ESP. I have redone the navmeshing and moved things slightly. You can see the screens (AND ONE GIF - sorry it's so small but you can still clearly see no clipping) on the last page of the image section.
Hmm, well I still clip through all the walkways. I must have a mod somewhere that messes with the collision of those statics, though not sure what it would be. Will see if I can track it down.
I tried with just 3.1, and now 3.2 patch and still sink almost to my knees in the wooden area near Valentines office. Not sure what is going on there, its like those wooden slats are not solid.
Well I took a peek in xEdit and the only thing editing statics there was Vanilla Extensions. Removing that did not solve my problem. Using only this mod, Start Me Up and the Unofficial patch, I do not sink through. So something I've got is editing the meshes I suppose? Need more time to figure out what.
OK, it's late and I probably need to do some more testing, but I believe I can isolate the problem to Dead Body Collision. If anyone else who is having this problem also uses this mod and will do a quick test, that would be amazing :P
EDIT: Nope. I guess I shouldn't try to troubleshoot when it's hours past my bedtime :P EDIT 2: OK, it seems to be tied to previs/precombined info getting overwritten. After work tonight I'll pin down what mod is spawning the conflict -- ran out of time this morning :)
OK, the problem for me was my conflict resolution patch; I was forwarding the latest previs/precombined info from Far Harbour DLC (because I own it) but this mod was apparently made without Far Harbour installed (understandably). As long as this mod wins the precombined/previs conflicts, I don't get weirdness. Hopefully this helps someone else. :)
EDIT: And I just realized how many times I sleepy-posted in a row, lol. Sorry for the spam -- switched from second shift to normal people hours for the first time in a decade and my sleep situation is not awesome >.>; Very belated endorsement as well -- thank you so much for this gorgeous overhaul!
Thank you for sharing your vision of Diamond City. Been using your mod since starting a new game last night and I love what you did with it. Not having any issues with it at all. I'll definitely be keeping this one.
I read the description and the first few pages of comments and didn't see anything about my issue... the foundation for the outfield caravan is floating by the roof of the caravan... I tried reinstalling on a clean save after discovering Diamond City with the esp at the bottom of my load order and still no luck...
edit: it also appears you have not addressed the clipping through floors issue a lot of people mentioned...
Yeah, I have addressed it, I am going to look into it when I have the time. Modding is not a full time job for me and I’d prefer to not make a patch for something that I don’t experience a bug for in my own game until I can sit down and actually look at it and get someone to test it. I’m sorry you’re having the issue with the floating foundation, but you’re the first one to report that issue so I’m not too sure what to suggest.
Hmm I've encountered something odd. Everyone's feet clip through the floor. I was wondering if anyone was experiencing this as well? Other than that good mod. Granted I take a fps hit in the middle of town but it might be because I have a AMD gpu XD.
I've noticed the same thing, its worst outside valentines office for me. it looks like the wooden planks don't have collision so peeps are just walking on the floor underneath. Nothing game-breaking, just a little odd xD
