Hey. Absolutely great work on the mod. I loved it to bits and pieces a couple of months ago. Now, however, the mod is broken. It does appear on enemies and in shops, but the aiming is just "off" now. It doesn't work with the BF1 animations overhaul anymore either, like it used to. As said before, the one you craft in the chemistry station works well with the animations and uses the texture from this mod.
I bet everyone would greatly appreciate it if you were to update this mod to fix this issue
Having some weird issues with anything labeled "Colt 1911" like the one's purchased from a vendor. Anything called "colt" uses default (2 handed) animations in first person and doesn't aim down sights correctly. The gun I made from chem lab before install, labeled "Long 1911" works correctly but uses 1 handed animations which are probably default to the original. It's value also isn't changed, while the "colt 1911" versions are lower. Dunno what could be causing this, it's very strange, maybe your overhaul includes outdated animations that overwrite the original? The new textures added by this overhaul are identical on both versions however, as I would expect with the overwrite, and look fantastic.
There is a massive (well, to an extent) difference in size between this 1911 and Deadpool's FONV-style .45 Auto Pistol (in third person). Is this pistol undersized, or is the latter just oversized? It kind of looks strange, and I do not know which one is more accurate in regards to size. Could the animations be changed to the 10mm pistol as well? The problem with the Deliverer animations is that they do not have the slide movement when shooting in third person that the 10mm pistol has. I tried switching the keywords around to force 10mm pistol third person animations, but it breaks the gun. A shame, because I would very much like this 1911 to not have a fixed slide when firing in third person (breaks immersion).
Between leo2link's original work and your own, it's a nice mod - simple, lightweight and efficient (I found Doom's and Deadpool's mods a bit too buggy in different ways, then saw this as an alternative, seems to be a much better, simpler option). A set of glow sights would really be icing on cake here though.

My work on this began already, and textures will be photo-based on a US ARMY 1942 Colt M1911A1

I'm very glad that you like this addition to your mod :)
Cheers
And sometimes I just play :)
Thank you for you interest ;)
But you're right, it's a "moral need" more than a technical one.
