I like that the mod doesn't modified Piper home too much, just make it decent to live in. If anyone got issue with the brick blocking way at the kitchen, just put this mod on the last order or most bottom of the list active mod
This is great! The vanilla Publick Occurrences was rather underwhelming. This makes it feel a lot more lived in and a lot more like an actual home.
Piper let Dogmeat and I crash in the living room while she was helping Nick and I pursue Kellogg. Then...what do ya know, things heated up between us a bit, and she ended up inviting us to move in. We had to go shopping for a double bed to replace hers.
One thing I'd love to see with this is more static clutter. The clutter on the tables is great...until you sit down at the table and knock it all off lol
If you use the mod Place Anywhere it gives you the option to make items static. Definitely a necessity for those times where you put in a lot of work hand placing clutter items just so, only to have it get knocked everywhere moments later. I swear I would have killed and eaten Dogmeat by now if i could have.
Get AFT and use it to make him non-essential. He always has mongrel dog meat on him when he dies, so you can do exactly that. I also kill and eat Dogmeat as soon as I get to Fort Hagen.
Always amazed me that she tells you of how she got DC cleaned up and secure with her articles . . . but her home looks like a bomb went off in it LMAO Great Job!
It's quite absurd to think every house gonna be cracked after a god damn 200 years, especially which is in the greatest & safest place to live in the whole commonwealth and also lived in by the one and only journalist.
To each their own, but I've never really understood the whole argument that everything should be a dingy s**t hole because it's the post-apocalypse. I mean, obviously it's not going to be on par with modern luxury standards, but brooms still exist and people still likely have a desire to personalize their homes, especially in established areas like Diamond City. Some raider shanty out in the wastes? I agree, it makes sense for that to be a dingy hole. I don't really see it as a necessary or immersive aesthetic across the board though.
Really good and immersive! Player can obviously notice that the house is devided into some part: the working part, the living part(including kitchen and bathroom), and the upstair bed room. That's what a norm house should look like, not a dirty pithole filled with some matress. Also here's an advice: I hope player can own a bed in this place, because it is convenient and Piper is one of the most famous follower in the game. It is pretty normal that the player, who is a companion with Piper, own some place in her house.
I have been wandering in commonwealth for several hundred hours but till yesterday I knew there is a home called homeplate in diamond city. So you are right, there is no need for a player's bed in piper's place.
I think it can make sense for your character to move in with Piper. That's more or less what I'm using this for with my current character. Open the console, click on her bed, and enter 'setownership', and you can sleep in it. Personally I swapped the bed out for a double bed though. He had a sleeping bag rolled out on the floor downstairs for a while before he was invited to move in though

The only thing I've noticed is that neither Piper nor Nat will go to bed at night anymore. They just wander around the room.

The non static clutter is exactly the same clutter that was in the vanilla version.
LMAO
Great Job!
I did notice the problem with the chat between Nick and Piper at the end of Reunions; I posted my fix for this in the Bugs forum.
I agree with everything you said except the bed part
