About this mod

A personal mod to clean up Hangman's Alley a bit.

!WARNING!: This mod contains precombined nifs and previs data based on Fallout4.esm. It is a personal mod that I made for my own/vanilla game configuration and could cause issues with yours. Use at your own risk!

To be quite honest, I'm mostly uploading this here for my own purposes. I have a terrible habit of deleting entire folders and forgetting to back up the important stuff beforehand, losing random things I'd like to keep in the process. If it's uploaded here, then the Nexus is basically acting as my own personal backup/storage solution for the mod. So... hooray!

That being said, this mod is available to others if they choose to use it. The mod is offered as-is, and I won't be making patches for it except perhaps in some rare instance where I would personally want to use a mod that would require me to make them compatible in order to use myself.

What this mod does:

This mod makes a couple of relatively small edits to Hangman's Alley. I removed the large shack that you can't normally scrap, the stairs leading to it that you also can't normally scrap, and the two fire barrels near the workshop and weapons workbench, as well as their ambient lights. I also did my best to fix the navmesh in those areas, which was broken when I removed those items.

Performance/Compatibility:

Because these edits make changes to static meshes in the fensraidercampext cell, it breaks the precombined geometry, which causes performance loss. To correct this, I generated new precombined geometry for the cell that I edited, as well as previs data. This renders the mod incompatible with any other mods that edit the same cell. I personally don't run any mods that edit vanilla cells other than Eli's Armor Compendium, which is far enough away to not be affected by this mod at all.

If you're not running any mods that edit cells in that area (or have an otherwise vanilla game), then this mod should run fine for you. If you ARE running mods that edit cells in that area... good luck. You use this at your own risk. Though the worst that can really happen is various objects will flicker/pop, and simply uninstalling the mod should correct the problem.
